yes ofc science is all about "testing" but thats very tricky in this context. likely "testing" in this area will go on for decades. actual real "testing" is not really possible at this time. the tests themselves have to be invented/ developed.
as for models, agreed they are critical, alas nobody wants to understand the LHV pinball model so far :(
