Q: Can we undo the libvirt -> virtualizartion tag synonym?

muruCurrently, libvirt is a synonym of virtualization, and is mentioned in some ~800 questions (plus its client tool virsh is mentioned in some ~200 questions that don't mention libvirt). The synonym has caused ~200 renames, so there are people trying to use it, but are unable to.

@vidarlo Perhaps you should be learning Russian instead?

I have enjoyed reading the following, written by a former Stack Overflow employee:
A great and balanced look at the events before and during the current debacle on SE

It's a great piece. I think he wrote some on Monica-debacle as well

@vidarlo I was pretty inactive on AU at that time but I certainly read up on it before I stood for the mod election
And the licensing debacle

8:57 AM
And excitingly the letter of protest to Stack Overflow, Inc. will hit 900 signatures soon enough: 104 moderators (+0) covering 75 sites, 16 former moderators (+0) and 778 curators (+5) - 898 total (+5).

That debacle was the reason I skipped 2020 election...

Time for Splitgate, I plan on teaching my grandson some valuable lessons :)

Best of luck.

There seems to be a big influx of spam now, I don't think I've ever flagged so many for spam in such a short amount of time :O

11:05 AM
@Dan because Smokey is not operating.
And a lot of moderators and curators are on strike, so not handling spam
@dan openletter.mousetail.nl You can consider signing as well if you identify with the criticism

AU is getting destroyed.
maybe it is time for me to start using MInt and start helping them :P
Or maybe Canonical should ditch AU.

I can't see myself staying on strike for much longer

hey zanna :=D
AU is pretty useless at the moment :P

sorry!

"even the swag we were promised never arrived" is far more serious :D from the academia SE

2:39 PM

@Rinzwind lol
@Rinzwind haha are you a victim of your own efficiency?

4:52 PM
@Zanna it is good to see you in here. I came here yesterday and found out about the strike. I hope this gets resolved soon. In the meanwhile stay cool and have a banana from the fridge. :D
In the meanwhile I will flag as many spams I can find.

5:15 PM
@user68186 thanks! Actually I made baby banana chickpea cakes yesterday so I'm all out of bananas but I've got some really nice fuji apples
I also hope for a quick resolution

yuck :D
still need to eat acc. to my stomach :P
@Zanna yeah I am the only one that codes by making imports. All others code top/down so a lot of replication. B
I am twice as efficient :D so my work is generally done somewhere on wednesday. Only if I need to alter code someone else made it often takes longer :P
spam on au seems to have stopped. India is sleeping probably

Q: GPT on the platform: Data, actions, and outcomes

PhilippeIn a meeting with some moderators last week, I committed to releasing the data sets from our initial studies around the efficacy and false positive rates of ChatGPT detectors to them. Tuesday afternoon, we did so. This post contains as much information from that discussion as we are able to share...
