Q: The Grub menu does not show Linux or Windows after dual installing Linux Mint and Windows 10

Stephen BridgwaterI have installed Linux Mint Cinnamon 18.1 alongside Windows 10 and on reboot, only the Grub 2 beta menu with prompt "grub>" is displayed. I have tried to fix the error by reinstalling Linux Mint and changing the Boot partition from sda to sda2 where the EFI title displays, following reading up on...

well my RAZR M has LOS 14.1 up and running
time to see if the normal RAZR has any development going on

@TheWanderer Lol, just the other day having my palm on the trackpad caused me to click a scam search result - and it took me to a webpage with a BSOD background and a popup saying that, "YOUR'RE COMPUTER IS INFECTED WITH 13 VIRUS." And it had a button to download a software that would "fix" my computer. Just for grins I clicked it, and it downloaded an EXE. Yeah, uh-huh, an EXE program is totally going to fix my Linux machine....
They couldn't even use proper grammar for the warning!
Your're instead of your
and virus instead of viruses...
oh and also it was playing a beeping sound as well
Oh yeah, and Linux totally shows a BSOD when it crashes [not], lol :D
sigh

I wonder why the RAZR M is OEM-unlockable, but the earlier RAZR isn't

1:50 AM
Google made everything unlockable

2:03 AM
but the normal RAZR isn't
and I seem to have hard bricked it
huh nevermind I think
maybe it just ran out of battery
yep that was it...
and I used pliers and everything to remove the screws to the battery connector
this phone was designed neither for longevity nor reparability
I like how AnTuTu doesn't just use the runtime-permissions API, but instead opens its settings screen, and shows an overlay with instructions on how to enable permissions
that's much harder to do than just using the API
oh dear

UGH! iMacros doesn't work with Firefox 56. :(

Firefox is going to keep getting better, but a ton of the extensions are going to break.
wait. iMacros isn't an extension, is it?

It's a plugin
I think
Nope, you're right, it's an extension.
I had to go back to 55 to make it work

@TheWanderer I use iMacros for work on inserting addresses into forms for server locations. Well, I upgraded Firefox to 56 and iMacros would not work. Had to drop back to 55 for it to work.

yeah but what is Mozilla doing with FF for that to happen?

This question has several answers that are really attempting to answer a different question from the one being asked (they disregard the "but not really" part, including the output of netstat when the OP ran it). Of those answers, can we at least delete the newer ones that don't add anything?

@TheWanderer Well they're slowly integrating servo, which should really increase speed (we're already seeing it, from what I can tell) and they're moving extensions away from their existing extension system to webextensions, which is more secure but much more limited.

Syed Abdul QadeerI am using ubuntu 14.04 virtual machine and in that compiz process is using high CPU resource around(200 to 300). And due to this my mouse and keyboard are getting sync issue(means keyboard will not respond for few second).

Is there a bug report for it?

The VirtManager one is pretty unusable because of that, because you always need 3 levels to accomplish anything.
