@WinEunuuchs2Unix wait, what ?

@Serg MaryGreyFox last night remember? you said you would deliver tuesday or wednesday.

@WinEunuuchs2Unix I think maximizing is handled by the window manager i.e. Compiz for vanilla Ubuntu.

She is using Unitity.

what the hell is going on with the what the hells?

what the heck are you talking about :P

11:04 PM
@WinEunuuchs2Unix well, I'm still not done with it

@IanC try sans-serif fonts, they look better on web.

@WinEunuuchs2Unix Unitity?

Nunity
Unity
LOL...it's dark here

That uses Compiz as WM, as I said.

I thought you said Compiz or Unity...

11:06 PM
No, Compiz is a window manager while Unity is a desktop environment (and a Compiz plugin, actually).
different things.

Here's the reality, guys - Compiz is bare desktop
That becomes apparent when all plugins are unchecked

Here I thought Compiz was an optional download... for wizardry stuff.

That's CCSM

@KazWolfe I'll work on the fonts, so far I only picked the nav-bar ones, and they are not even definitive yet :p

(compizconfig-settings-manager)

11:07 PM
I think that's it @Zacharee1 @KazWolfe @NathanOsman

the juicy stuff like Alt-Tab and launcher, and everything else - those are plugins. As Byte said correctly, Unity is just a plug-in for Compiz

what do you think?

@IanC looks retro

@IanC it's nice, but get rid of that background >_>

@IanC gives classic Unix vibes :D I like it

11:08 PM
no offense but your colors are very web-2.0ish
actually your entire style sorta is, which is weird.

I didn't know their was a web 2.0... Did that follow WWW version I?

@Zacharee1 yup, I need to find something else for the BG, but those yellow boxes are out!

@IanC try another gray

Remember cool retro terminal?

cowsay!!!!!!!!!!!!!

11:10 PM
Hmm, I found nice glasses. Lens size is OK, but bridge size is 2mm larger
think I could survice with 2 mm wider glasses ?
Mmmm, and the retro term !
Megusta

@KazWolfe what is web-2.0?

web 2.0 is upgrade from world wide web 1.0

the web between web-1.0 and web-3.0

Web 2.0 describes World Wide Web websites that emphasize user-generated content, usability (ease of use, even by non-experts), and interoperability (this means that a website can work well with other products, systems and devices) for end users. The term was popularized by Tim O'Reilly and Dale Dougherty at the O'Reilly Media Web 2.0 Conference in late 2004, though it was coined by Darcy DiNucci in 1999. Web 2.0 does not refer to an update to any technical specification, but to changes in the way Web pages are made and used. A Web 2.0 site may allow users to interact and collaborate with each other...

11:12 PM
Those are 26$ though

got it

I guess Web 3.0 must be robust then.
Web 9.0 as we all know is on the cloud

throw some bootstrap around, @IanC, and use more border-radius

Okay, I need some sleep. Bye.

good night @ByteCommander

11:15 PM
bye bye byte

@KazWolfe what is bootstrap? I looked on google and found some HTML/CSS/JS framework

(couldn't resist)

yep, basically.
it's a bunch of pre-made CSS that makes decent-looking sites quickly

Good evening!

Some OP just changed their screen name to "Please Delete Me"....weird: askubuntu.com/questions/840806/…
Happy Hallowe'en!

11:26 PM
@WinEunuuchs2Unix Because they're too incompetent to visit the link for help deleting their account. Just leave them be and ignore em.

The OP signed on to say "Thank you" when I noticed the name was changed... weird.
like an interenet suicide note.

@WinEunuuchs2Unix @ThomasWard actually that's part of the process for requesting an account deletion

@JourneymanGeek that's interesting.
So it is a form of internet suicide.
The weird thing is we didn't solve his problem so why come back and thank us???

It's also a way to give folk a chance to cool ofg

yawns

11:42 PM
i'm doing queue review...that'll really make you yawn

@WinEunuuchs2Unix I'm doing python coding and making a full disk image of a Windows 7 all-versions installer disk
which is probably more boring

If you find out how to extract my license key from my bricked 500gb HDD and apply it to my non-genuine 240GB SSD or 120GB mSata SSD it would be very exciting!

Sometimes there's a sticker somewhere...
(With the product key.)
o/

Father told me to go pick up dog's poop in the backyard. So I did - picked up all the pieces I found, done in about 7 mins or so. Father asks me " huh? done already? Let's go, I'll check"
ex-Soviet parents , ladies and gentlemen

11:58 PM
