@Mateo Your wallpaper is my favorite.
originally saw it on omgubuntu
someone commented you could find it here: freakinmonsters.com/bigger-on-the-inside
He @HeatherBrown o/
Nice to see you again
And now...
Goodnight all :)
@A.B. Goodnight my friend!! =)
@Mateo Well, a company that did a cryptophone was based there. So, I would assume there's a heavy cell dev/freaking/phone hacking community
20:15
makes sense, there is way more usibility with the terminal when compared to android, and if you make the image read/write, you can basically do anything command line wise
@A.B. neat, on-line for about $60 at one place
and it is blue switches :)
<don't tell anyone in my family> ;) done.
@Mateo Yeah. My guess is they're trying to get it working perfectly on some hardware platform like the old nokia n900s
saw talk in articles of fairphone exploring the idea of using ubuntu
20:32
@Mateo Yeah, heard that somewhere too...Linux Voice Podcast I think?

There is an android live and interactive panda wallpaper that I really want to get, does anyone know if I can get an android VM and only have the wallpaper and somehow make it so that that is displayed on my desktop and then so that any clicks on it translate to clicks in the VM so that if I click on the panda's nose it wiggles like it should? :D
OMG Ubuntu had an article about it as well.
i usually just search google news for ubuntu
@ParanoidPanda no
lots of that stuff is way exaggerated
user136984
@Seth: If I can't translate the clicks, is there any other way to show the android VM as my wallpaper so I see the animation on the screen there?
user136984
@Seth: Oh and thanks, I will take a look at that! :)
like all the "Nuclear force authorized on Software Center, .deb's become dust in the wind" nonsense
@ParanoidPanda um, no. You dropped the easy part and left the hard. Android emulation isn't any better than other emulation. Namely slow and hard on resources.
user136984
@Seth: So I couldn't strip it down to the desktop live wallpaper so that it wouldn't do anything to my wallpaper? Because I just really want to find a way to get the panda dumpling live wallpaper. :)
Crud... I have to bleach my hands tonight. Starting the new dept "frozen" tomorrow. Darn having to be all "no I don't have dirt worked in to my calluses" and stuff. I will be around food though.
@ParanoidPanda mmmm.. no. Not easily.
@hbdgaf eww. I don't trust bleach :/
user136984
:(
@Seth I don't trust bleach either, but for ground in dirt in calluses - it's that or sand-paper. Make your choice sir.
@hbdgaf this stuff is amazing amazon.com/Pretty-Feet-Hands-Remover-Exfoliant-3-Ounce/dp/… it is a bit girly packaging but it works

Q: Is it ever possible for command redirection to HDD to fail?

logo_writerI'm using Xubuntu 15.04, and sometimes have this really strange problem, originating from a XeLaTeX run. When using this typesetting system, the following system command is executed: uname -s > <docname>.w18 where <docname> is the document name being compiled. After executing this command, fro...

Seriously? If it works, there's no shame in using it.
yeah, just saying to look past the container ;) I swear by the stuff :)
Cool, I'll try it.
it sorta dries a bit and roll your hands together and like takes a layer of skin off
Okay, so it's like gojo on steroids.
user136984
20:46
@Seth: So not very much new then in Ubuntu 15.10... I think that the main thing for me will be the new kernel version and getting GNOME 3.18.
user136984
When do you think that we will get the kernel version 4.3?
@Seth "and the availability (finally) of Python 3.x." - wait...hasn't it been available?
It has been available, and edge python has been available as a ppa. Python3 as the default is a little scary to me, because critical things could break.
oh, does that mean the removal of 2?
they have had a dual setup for a bit
I don't know. I would guess it will be phased, but it breaks a PEP.
Arch is/has done it though.
20:51
@hbdgaf And that's why it's planned for 16.04 :P
Does that project (convert to python3) have a wishlist for converted packages?
new photos section to my new scope:
Ooo...what's it this time?
all the strange furry, uh, things...
@ParanoidPanda ^^

Q: Can I award a bounty to the OP?

Pilot6If OP answered his own question, can I award a bounty to him? I answered this question. The OP's question was really good and with some of my help he found a great solution for this wireless adapter, that had problems for many years. Only disabling 802.11n workaround helped. There are lots of q...

@hbdgaf Soap with a little bit of clean sand???
user136984

@Mateo: Aww! That is so cute! :D :D :D
user136984
21:42
Well...
user136984
Goodnight! :)
user136984
@GeorgetheDev: Goodnight!
user136984
:D
user136984
@NathanOsman: :(
21:59
Wut.
I just restarted him an hour ago.
@GeorgetheDev time
Awh, 0 A.D. is 2 days late. They still have 22 bugs to fix.
@blade19899 yup...
I'm waiting too!
(since you broke the news)
;-)
@Fabby They better be fixing the lag.
That's the only thing that doesn't make me play it all day everyday
:D
I'm RTFMing...
well, hibernating and taking the PC to bed...
22:15
@Fabby Good Night!
@Fabby Goodnight!! =)
@blade19899 there are two things I really need them to fix: they need a non-playing server and improved performance during large battles.
How do I purge an application that was previously ` apt-get remove`?
@NathanOsman Definitely.
The last game I played with my brother had to be abandoned because the game came to a crawl.
I used to work for a game studio, and I don't envy game testers. They actually have a very tedious and crappy job.
22:32
Unit tests. They are a good thing. That'll at least catch programming bugs.
Yes, but they have to do it over and over and over again. Bugs can be duplicated 4 out of 5 times, and a glitch just happens.
