I think my this question is much complicated and felling difficulty to examine/debug & solve problem in short time (it can takes much time) so should be closed as too-broad And also can be closed as off-topic (Bug-reporting) Right?
@Lucio - try using DNSSEC on your internet connection. Your ISP may be black-holing specifically your DNS queries to tell you you've done something naughty.
At least that way you know if you get a legit record not found or not.
I came across this question about dual-booting and windows not being recognized by Grub, which I'm fairly certain is a duplicate question, but I can't seem to find the canonical question that actually answers it, just a whole bunch of similar questions without answers that are often marked as dup...
It's simple to notice that so many question asked by new users shall be answer by a simple search query. I'm asking if shall be possible put a simple banner saying:
"wait, before ask, did you try to search your question? search..."
or something similar to the users with low reputation (ma...
This year I bought a laptop with Ubuntu 12.04.
I updated to Ubuntu 14.04 (the reasons were related to my wifi driver).
Since long time I cannot download many programs using apt-get. An example is GIMP:
sudo apt-get install gimp
Leyendo lista de paquetes... Hecho
Creando árbol de dependencias ...
We have created a apt-cacher-ng server to provide cached packages to our users that have Ubuntu 14.04 installed.
Combined with the cached packages, we are doing a weekly "mirror" of some Ubuntu update uris using the PrecacheFor parameter. The following regex will create mirror of all update repo...
@Lucio Then you could try manually setting your MTU. I've seen some hardware appliances that don't handle negotiated MTUs right. Firebrick comes to mind.
@Mateo - I hope to get some of the Borderlands2 mods ported over to the linux side of the house this weekend.
I'll play some too, but don't get butt-hurt if I'm in offline mode. I don't do any testing when another player can try and jump in to control variables.
Mods I want to make: third person toggler stealth view all the time toggler (read see enemies in blue whenever you want, including cloaked ones) and a couple of others that shall remain nameless until/if I make them.
@Mateo If I get any working right, you'll be the first to know.
yeah, it could go super weird... the other party in during testing introduces other instances of character variables too... so it will need multiplayer testing also before the mod is ready. like - "does it work if i am the only player? does it work if i am the first player? does it work if i'm the second player?" etc etc
i basically don't want to search for a struct that could occur twice if there are two players, and find it twice. then hope i was the first one in the game. that would SUCK.
i was looking at the modder boards to see if i could find sdk kit to make stuff like this happen by having a mod so only people that choose to run it run it... but i found that there's no sdk, but mods are totally cool according to gearbox. so, it's like "if you can make it work - it's open season."
I'm just playing tonight. I'll start on the mod-trying tomorrow morning while I clean the house and do laundry. So, if you want to jump in, it's now or sunday afternoon.
