@blade19899 Now now, Love your enemy and bless those who curse you..
heh:
That policy is worst than arch forums, if you been there you know what i mean :) anyway, I tried elementary and didn't detect my wifi drivers so I'll stick to xubuntu and install pantheon, that's the smartest solution: staying with the OS that is working on my machine - getting the DE that I like - still getting support here - running 13.10 not lts which is installed on elementary - win win situation — Fischer 1 hour ago
@blade19899 applies to all BUT spammers
@RPiAwesomeness, I hate my enemies momentarily.
@blade19899 That works :)
Then I stop giving a f*, and move on.

@blade19899 salutes
@RPiAwesomeness You should use replies more often, but yeah, this reminded me of that.
What did I **** up here that broke the guys machine? (If anyone can enlighten me, cause looks I made a big mistake.)
The libc6 install caused the problem according to him, which rendered the system useless
oh noes. not libc6
@Seth replies? What ho?
@falconer 64 bit doesn't mix well with 32 bit.. I have no idea why.. it's not like Windows.
Actually we were trying to make him able to run 32 bit apps, cause he couldn't run any.

Q: Battery issues on a Lenovo Ideapad Z460 running Ubuntu 13.10

noobeanaI've been using Ubuntu 13.10 on my Lenovo for more than 5 months without a problem. Yesterday I disconnected the AC adapter to take the laptop with me to the couch and it simply shut down. So I reconnected it to at least be able to check what was going on and, to my surprise, the OS seems to be r...

Don't read the entire article. Am deleting my android because of it!
Ah, @jrg . Can I get your help for a second?
20:36
Ubuntu Touch here we come!
Well... no... not stable enough!
Plus, if Ubuntu receives the same attention as Android, IPhone. well.... godamnit.
Oh screw the NSA.
Baby steps. ubuntu-touch turns stable, then well see what happens
@blade19899 I'm kinda worried about it too.
20:38
as long as the code remains open-source
/me thinks about writing own phone OS
No worries right?
Akuna Matata :)
Or whatever Pumba says...
LOL
20:39
@RPiAwesomeness, one could write an os. If the hardware remains the same. No need to support hardware you don't use
Already got you started
@RPiAwesomeness, if you only have one set of hardware to support. Then you only need it to get stable on that set of hardware. Reduces the time to write code for other set of hardware
@blade19899 was referring to phone OS :) and I've see that. Must've taken some work!
I believe he ported it to RPi, but I'm not sure
@RPiAwesomeness oooowwww. Well then the same rules apply. One set of hardware
Anyone here like rock/dubstep remixes of rock? Cause then I have a doozy. Google Red Death of Me Guillotine remix Found it on their newest album. EPIC BAND!
@blade19899 Yeah, except I don't have a phone :)

Am, am, am, going to do some work.
U don't have a phone
MikeOS is pretty basic.
Nope.
No phone. Period
don't even have a tablet
I'm currently saving to build a desktop and then to get a Nexus 7
Nexus saving are not supported by the ubuntu-touch anymore
Yeah, I noticed that, which kinda sucks, but it's still the best device for your money out there now
20:55
And on that bombshell ^ goodnight!
:) They really need to work on their design! I mean, my younger sister can design something better than that.
@blade19899 Weren't those leaked by Snowden?
I get this on PHP:
Warning: htmlspecialchars() expects parameter 2 to be long
why??
:\ Dunno. I have yet to use PHP, probably should.
Wouldn't just converting parameter 2 to long work? You could then convert it back into int or whatever later...?
Just my 2 cents, I'm not a PHP programmer in the least :P
@RPiAwesomeness this is the line:
htmlspecialchars($object_title, ENT_HTML5, 'UTF-8')
No clue then :P Wierd

@blade19899 Hmm. Got a minute to help me maybe?
@Seth Just a phew ;)
@blade19899 Yep. I figured it was, but I can't reject good edits unless I'm positive.
@blade19899 You need to be running Gnome..
@Seth i don't have it installed, yet.
sudo apt-get install gnome-shell? if i remember correctly?
@blade19899 oh.. if you're going to install it, I just need gnome-flashback
Oh wait, 13.10? Never mind.. I know how to do it there.

@blade19899 ignore him.
What worries more is: who accepted their edit suggestions?
Is he trying to scare people away
@Seth ok
21:42
@Seth Ignore him? will do
@Takkat I did some of them. What a user names himself shouldn't effect my reviewing should it?
@Seth it shoud. Now they have their name and face displayed.
<-- feels offended by this
@Takkat So what am I supposed to do? Reject it with "I don't like your name"?
@Takkat Oh. I forgot you were German.. I try not to let myself get offended, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't like to see him deleted/changed.
Delete him.
I just clicked on his homepage
We can't flag user's bio, can we ?
21:45
@Takkat no, you have to flag his posts.
They have only edits.
@blade19899 Don't. If he's our spammer don't give him any IP data to go on.
@Takkat You could flag a question he's edited and explain.. as best as possible.
@Seth Tor ;)
@blade19899 You use tor?
Oh gosh. We haz der Nazi's invading

@Seth Yeah, for a Q here. Never deleted it
apt-cache search tor O_O
Comes in handy
@Seth Dang...that's a lot. And the last thing on the list is Enemy Territory (at least for me, as I have playdeb installed) Coincidence?
@blade19899 Why do you use Tor? Just wondering, I've considered doing it for the privacy...
@RPiAwesomeness privacy and porn. And to browse justin bieber youtube page. without people knowing...
Am ashamed of the Justin bieber part
facepalm
@Seth Nice
Phft
@Seth Damnit. Thanks
So, how are the speeds with Tor? I've heard that all the re-routing slows it down

This mobile thing will never last, right? We figured if we waited long enough, this whole “mobile application” thing would blow over and everything would go back to the way it used to be. You know, when phones were for calling people, and computers were for typing long, angry rants about how things aren’t the way they used to be.

In retrospect, we may have misread that one a bit. It turns out that even for Stack Exchange mobile is eating the world.

So today we’re excited to announce that Stack Exchange for Android is finally available for download on the Google Play store, for Android phones version 4.0 (ICS) and up: …

Q: Why does aptitude restrain from upgrading [UNAVAILABLE] packages?

RumcaPlease help me to understand why aptitude refrains from upgrading in case below. Is it solely because existing package metadata is not in cache anymore? If package is marked as [UNAVAILABLE], does it mean the only sensible action is to keep it? system-config-printer-common will not be upgraded ...

@blade19899 That is goot. We really don't want ghosts on SE
Oo..very nice
@Seth hm, the beta was still crashing a lot for me, wonder if that was fixed in the latest...
21:56
HALP! Someone check the suggested edit queue.
@vasa1 - unix.stackexchange.com/questions/38048/… <-- re: remove all panels
well, I at least sent a lot of crash reports
@Mateo /me doesn't know as I only have limited access to an android device..
21:57
I'm not sure it's fair for us to reject his edits based on his name and stuff..
is this a legit account name? askubuntu.com/users/240683/adofl-hitler
The mods will change it eventually, so yes and no
@Seth they spam because they want people to read their bio and click on their nazi site.
i don't think its nazi
I read a bit of it
@Mateo - slow but steady progress on the CamCastic revamp. Commit is in eventually... but it is coming. Suggestion on the folder layout - assets in a /CamCastic/assets folder, so I can reference them relative to self.__file__ and not worry about where they are without cluttering up code area. It should make packaging easier too...
21:58
@blade19899 :O
As far as i can tell they don't promote Nazism
@Takkat Yes, but if they're edits are good how do we reject them?
just the dead leader
