I'm not a computer nerd but have been able to fix Ubuntu/Linux problems in the pass two years with a Google search but this on has me stumped.
I upgraded to 12.04 about thirty days ago and all was well except that every time I tried to load KeePassX it would go to the login screen. I installed ...
I have created an empty box in Glade to add a Notebook to. The reason I am not adding the actual Notebook in Glade is because I hear that you cannot add pages to a Notebook made in Glade.
So, in Glade I have created a Box in an empty slot in a VBox. The code I am running is:
self.box = self.b...

Gtk.main_quit(*args)
def addNotebookClick(self, *args):

@jokerdino i think 15 is the default, or you can edit to include the info that, they have to choose "50 questions per page" options to see the questions
it was my understanding one was the older naming convention from when you named things manually and the other is how you connect things if you want Builder to be able to guess from item names
i haven't worked through it, but it's my guess that it won't due to the gobject Gobject conflict <-- this only applies if you're trying to translate it to Gtk

I'm trying to upgrade from xUbuntu 7.04 to the latest LTS. Here i've read:
If you are using Xubuntu 8.04 “Hardy Heron” or newer, you can upgrade
your system using the update manager.
So that infos are not suitable for my case. What can I do to upgrade?
You would need to do a sequential upgrade (from 7.04 to 7.10 to 8.04 to ect..).
If you are using Xubuntu 8.04 or newer, you can upgrade your system
using the update manager.1
See here
So you either do a sequential upgrade to 8.04, or i you would like to skip all this, then you would hav...

@tachyons I think there should be two CW answers (both correct) one with the upgrade steps clearly laid out, one with "just reinstall". and the just reinstall should be heavily upvoted, while the upgrade path should be heavily downvoted
Can you? Yes. In theory. As an experiment, that is.
Should you? No! Backup your data and do a fresh install.
You will essentially be "upgrading" across 10 releases of the OS. That's more than going from Windows 3.1 to Windows 8!
Since the 7.x releases are no longer supported, you will have t...
