My ubuntu is starting to run to slow
it takes more than one minute to open many folders or taps in chrome with the screen darkening for some while

I recently built a computer running Ubuntu 11.10. It works great, except for one thing. With some video DVDs, when I insert them into my drive, the movie player just says "An error occurred. Could not read DVD. This may be because the DVD is encrypted and a DVD decryption library is not installed...
My machine can't play encrypted DVDs on a fresh install. How do I add this capability? Another useful bit of information would be what programs are best for playing DVDs, once I'm able to do so. See the similar question here. Will I be able to play DVD movies from any region?

How can I relocate the Ubuntu 12.04 task bar (a.k.a. title bar) -- NOT the launcher bar. The task bar is currently at the top of both displays and I want it on the bottom of one. It contains the clock, volume, shutdown menu icon, etc.
@jokerdino Yes, I believe it's a duplicate. And Oli's answer in the dupe target answers it. If necessary the terse answer present in the dupe candidate can be merged in, but either way, I think this should be closed as a duplicate. I have close-voted.
@ccrama What sort of exclusion criteria do you have? Also, while we're at it, what are your requirements (if any) for the ownership, permissions, and timestamps for the copy? (If you have sophisticated requirements, rsync might do the job better than cp.)

@Naveen installing 3.6 isn't an official way. but you can add quantal repos and install from their i guess. and you need to keep doing this to get updates too
