@cairdcoinheringaahing I'm here

test - success !
Whenever I send a message to JHTBot it errors on the line r = r.json() in chatbot.py
The error message reads:
  File "C:\Users\Millicent\Downloads\JHTBot-master\chatbot.py", line 164, in sendMessage
    r = r.json()
  File "C:\Python34\lib\site-packages\requests\models.py", line 866, in json
    return complexjson.loads(self.text, **kwargs)
  File "C:\Python34\lib\json\__init__.py", line 318, in loads
    return _default_decoder.decode(s)
  File "C:\Python34\lib\json\decoder.py", line 343, in decode
    obj, end = self.raw_decode(s, idx=_w(s, 0).end())
  File "C:\Python34\lib\json\decoder.py", line 361, in raw_decode
Alright, can you send me the line that calls sendMessage in your script ?
room.sendMessage('@' + user + msg)
Whoops, wrong one
18:34
Alright. Let's do some debugging then. Before r = r.json() can you add a new line logFile(r,'tempLog.txt') ?
next time you run it, it will still error, but a file called 'tempLog.txt' should have been created, can you put it on pastebin ?
@JHTBot find test
That line errored (the logFile(r,'tempLog.txt'))
O_o
What's the error ?
@JHTBot find second test
@Hippalectryon r is a Response. Fixed by making it r.text
@Hippalectryon No need to post in a pastebin:
> You must login to post
18:36
Did the login() function say you were logged in ?
Or easier, can you upload your code somewhere ?
<Log> b'Login to the SE chat successful'
@Hippalectryon Sure, updating the github repo
@Hippalectryon Done
/// find test
indeed, same error
/// find test
What's even weirder is that chemobot seems able to post messages with the same framework

@GeorgetheDev What is Stack Exchange
Stack Exchange is a network of question-and-answer websites on topics in varied fields, each site covering a specific topic, where questions, answers, and users are subject to a reputation award process. The sites are modelled after Stack Overflow, a Q&A site for computer programming questions that was the original site in this network. The reputation system allows the sites to be self-moderating. As of April 2017, the three most actively-viewed sites in the network are: Stack Overflow, Super User and Ask Ubuntu. For some reason in all the requests python sends the "acct" cookie, except when sending messages

I don't get it at all
<RequestsCookieJar[<Cookie uauth=true for .chemistry.stackexchange.com/>, <Cookie acct=t=rNxR0OVm%2bE0KDYe3q1E5d3CvW4SClwwN&s=osdZzkyJePShwALA4VQ3BL9WfDm9IRkD for .stackexchange.com/>, <Cookie prov=a2374940-c4f3-ad17-3171-daf1a236febc for .stackexchange.com/>, <Cookie sechatusr=t=8wwy2d2eiZxJfR2d1s7xzSmCdJvCBWh7 for chat.stackexchange.com/>, <Cookie anon=04ae85f9-f7ef-4348-8a15-4df061e9b615 for openid.stackexchange.com/>]>
That's the cookies right before sending the request
And somehow only prov and sechatusr are sent
No idea why acct isn't sent
