@GeorgetheDev manpage for the ping command
@Seth I just realized something - it will only onebox the manpage URLs that directly resolve to commands. For example, George generates the URL http://manpages.ubuntu.com/ping which redirects to http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/vivid/en/man8/ping.8.html. Only the second one oneboxes.
huh, the redirect doesn't happen for me..
Weird. It worked for me.
Oh wait.
ah
02:06
Sorry, wrong URL. My fault.
So he can still paste links directly to the manpages but he can't have them onebox.
:(
:/
I'm sure we can think of a way around that eventually.. Still useful though!
Okay, I adjusted the text a bit. Let's try this:
@GeorgetheDev ssh manpage
02:09
aw, we can't do @GeorgetheDev man ssh?
Oh yeah.
That's a great idea.
One sec.
I gotta go grab some dinner.. I'll be back in a bit.
@GeorgetheDev man echo
02:10
There we go.
Actually, that's going to trigger for a lot of false positives.
@GeorgetheDev Niel Armstrong was the first man on the moon.
See? :P
@NathanOsman ^man? :P
Yeah, I'm working on that.
^man \w$ should work I think.
except for hyphens.. hm.
oh and \w matches only one character -.-
02:15
I'm doing "[\w-]+" for matching pages.
for some reason I keep thinking it matches words..
It matches word characters.
@NathanOsman that looks good.
@NathanOsman yeah..
@GeorgetheDev man cat
Nope, must be a typo somewhere...
02:17
There we go.
@GeorgetheDev Niel Armstrong was the first man on the moon.
And he's silent for that too. Good.
grr
I wish my Linux machine wasn't broken.
Living without coreutils is hard.
02:57
I like bacon.
Brilliant.

@ParanoidPanda Probably multiple, but which one have you found? :P
user136984
Just because my username has a space in it, it thought I was two different people... "@Paranoid @Panda,"
user139252
No, I just don't know how to use it.
@ParanoidPanda Yeah, but that's by design. To avoid that, you'll have to do {{getcurrentusers pingformat}}

Oh...
