I find L4D boring. No danger. Low on health, no zombies. High on health, lots of zombies. My first game was on XBox 360 L4D2. Played hardest unlocked when you first boot. Died first time because I didn't know how to get into the car I had just fuelled, and there's an event where an impossible number of zombies appear to force you into the car.

Quit, never went back.

while Knuth's literate programming was a great concept, it never really met any huge popularity, mainly because it became a burden for the programmer

I haven't used it, but I have heard descriptions of how it can be used, and it kicks ass in its sphere of usefulness. Again that is mainly because of my contact with real scientific paper publication.
