While some people may prefer such offers and deem such offers relevant, such offers aren't at the crux of the core question, and so there's not necessarily an obvious reason to have bothered to mention it. What worries me about this answer is that the style is rather confrontational. The stranger has already shown disregard for boundaries, what makes you think that talking to a 5 year old ignoring the adult that just talked to you will end well? I have met a lot of people that I am sure would actually call you names if you do that. And I don't think that is something nice to get a 5 year old exposed to. — Mykazuki 2 mins ago

I know how to write that :) You might also be right about making the statement stronger than needed, especially considering the use of "much (better)". There are many things in that answer that I agree with 100%. There are some parts also that I agree with to a certain degree. There are also things that I have to disagree with. Still, this is the only reaction (answer or comment) to my question that was written by someone that has ever seen a martial arts class from inside, hence the green tick. Thanks. As an atheist/agnostic (meaning I don't care whether god exists or not), from all the answers this is the one I most agree with. In my opinion, "Thoughts and prayers" is slang for "I want to feel good about not actually doing anything useful" and in a time of need is pretty insulting or, at the least, extremely unhelpful. Anyone can offer thoughts and prayers, but helping takes effort. — Morfildur 2 mins ago
