It seems that you are asking "What should I do" which is off-topic here (see here: interpersonal.stackexchange.com/help/on-topic). In order for us to help you, you need to edit your question with a specific goal in mind. Maybe something like: "How to tell him that we will use Discord unless he has a good reason not to" — Noon 15 secs ago

@apaul Plenty of parents could do something about screaming children, but just don't because they don't care. — gnasher729 58 secs ago

@user_028: I do not agree with AnoE's comment. People with significantly different characters and expectations (including cleanliness, housework, spending, and so on) should very well consider whether they can live together. This is just being realistic rather than ignoring the issue and potentially making it worse; remaining just friends is better than marrying then divorcing over incompatibility. Do not underestimate the difficulty of incompatibilities. If you are unable to willingly and joyfully adapt fully to his current personality, then do not expect him to change even after 40 years. — user21820 1 min ago

I'm going to suggest taking the first 3 paragraphs of this (at least) as a serious thought. The rest, covering what to do about it, may or may not work for you, but the way of thinking about it, is highly relevant. You might also want to look up a concept known as "emotional labour", on Google or Wikipedia, as that's also very relevant and may help you to see the problem in another way. — Stilez 1 min ago

I'm not really seeing an abusive relationship in this question. There are some signs, but also signs that point away from it, like OP describing her partner as lazy and childish, and her ignoring him when he is (childishly) asking for attention. Some parts of it sound a bit like he may be suffering from a mild depression though. Inactivity, wanting to do things but looking for an excuse when the time is there, and seeking attention in odd ways. — Orbit 48 secs ago

My experience is that in an unsatisfactory relationship both partners may fault the other; and, not wanting to blame the victim, our agreeing with one to blame the other might not be right/skilful. A marriage counsellor might facilitate two-way communication ("sulking" implies a communication breakdown, IMO); or lawyers might facilitate "no fault" divorce. — ChrisW 1 min ago
