by and large, i don't hate the prequels. i think they had some good ideas that were executed terribly, and i think that for most of us, that's where the praise ends

most of the tag leaders relish any chance to slam the prequels though

a little too much, for my taste. at this point, it's just beating a dead horse.

and working with ammy to get me to trust me more. been giving her treats like every time she sees me. may be overdoing it, really, but she actually came up to me willingly last night, so i count it as a win.

i almost restarted halfway through summer once i got the hang of things

only thing I regret is the poor placement of my first few buildings.

i got hit with a freezing bug a few times with the fishing rod

just started doing preserves and crab traps

got my kitchen, but havent been able to cook anything yet

crab traps are cool.

pro tip: depending on where you leave them you get different stuff.

only at like level 15 or so in the mines because i didnt realize you could take the elevator down for... embarassingly long

oddly enough, three of the waitresses at this diner also divorced their husbands but were stuck living with him for a while. so we have that in common.

we have one dog that just absolutely and completely hates my (ex-?) nephew.

i have no idea why, she loves everyone else, but the minute he walks out of his room she goes into full-on panic mode.

she's definitely more skittish around me. part of that is likely the fact that she works from home, so just gets way more interaction with her

but she's also observably more skittish around men, likely having been abused by one

that's what i was wondering.

she's getting way more confident, and i dont take it personally

I totally stole my ex's boyfriend's dogs right out from under him by feeding them at the same time as mine.

fortunately everyone else in my house is incurably lazy, so unless I'm stuck at work past 9pm I still end up feeding everyone.

no one's really sure. most common guess is 8-ish

spent almost 2 of those years in a shelter

one of the new dogs was a rescue and we have no idea how old he is.

for the first 6 months he was here, I had to stand guard while he ate, because if any of the other dogs even look at him he'd run away.

we're assuming he was owned by a guy with other, much bigger dogs.

yeah, right now, i can't even get her to go into the kitchen and eat. my wife can

but yeah, after a while he came around. dogs are pretty good with that.

last night, she went in and walked up to the food dish and then ran away

she has a corner of the living room she's claimed as her safe spot

i had to let the other dog eat first and then put him outside, then put her food in the living room. i'd been putting it in her corner, but i'm trying to get her out of there little by little

ahahah we have a dog named sweetie!

she had mange and mites and all sorts of skin problems when they took her in

he's some kind of huge scary-looking redneck. but his dogs are min-pins named "baby girl" and "sweetie pie". It's a bit sketchy, IMO

ran into the biggest asshole when i took my dogs to the state park this morning.

his kid, probably 9 or 10, was climbing around on the playground and he had managed to climb to the top of this ~7 foot tall umbrella-looking monkey bars thing.

and he was sitting on the edge freaking out about getting down.

and the dad goes all abusive dad on him, like "what are you some kinda stupid quitter? thats it, im never taking you to this park again, if your gonna be a sissy like that. just jump down already and go get your shoes, Ill be in the car"

and he walks away, all chest-puffed-out and whatnot... with a toy poodle.
