@adamdport There has been quite a lot of discussion on this topic, and the community more or less as a whole agrees on the current scope. Many do however see the paradox that there is low traffic, but currently no bright ideas has bubbled up to produce more traffic.

I would like for the scope to open up somewhat, but I do see the counter arguments that it would be hard to produce good quality answers then. And as such it would possibly require a different set of rules to allow for multiple answers on a different level with more opinion based voting. But that does go against some of the overall culture for all Stack Exchange sites, as I've understood it.

I wish I'd have known, I would have loved to have been a part of that discussion

Was there any market research into what the general public wanted, or is that the whole purpose of "beta"?
