All of these comments come from the same book written by St. John.
What is the chance that the food given to Jesus was different then the food that we receive from him?
This feature is Boolean in nature. Either the food given to Jesus is the same food that we are to eat, or the food given to Jesus was only for him.
The answer to this question should be found in the account following his statement “I have food to eat of which you do not know."
Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! 36 And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.
37 For in this the saying is true: ‘One sows and another reaps.’ 38 I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors.” (John 4:35-38 NKJV)
I notice a connection here: "If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever" and "And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life"
I notice another connection here: "the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you" and "gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together."
Now the Son of Man is the Sower "He answered and said to them: “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man." (Matthew 13:37 NKJV)
Statement of Weakness: I still do not see.
Here is John's account of what Jesus has said about everlasting life.
-
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (Jhn 3:16 NKJV)
"He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him." (Jhn 3:36 NKJV)
"but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life." (Jhn 4:14 NKJV)
"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life." (Jhn 5:24 NKJV)
"Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him." (Jhn 6:27 NKJV)
"And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day." (Jhn 6:40 NKJV)
"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life." (Jhn 6:47 NKJV)
"And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak." (Jhn 12:50 NKJV)
-
Lets summarize all of this into a sentence.
Believe in him, believe or else, it will be like a a fountain of water springing up, hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me, labor for the food which endures which the Son of Man will give you, everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him, believes in Me, His command is everlasting life, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak.
Lets know this front ways and back.
So I speak just as the Father has told me, his command is everlasting life, see the Son and believe in him, labor for the food which endures which the Son of Man will give you, hear My word and believe in Him who sent Me, it will be like a a fountain of water springing up, believe in him, believe or else.

@JimG. Thank you. Where you perhaps annoyed when you told me this?
Ok so, I want to simplify the statement:
So I speak just as the Father has told me, his command is everlasting life, see the Son and believe in him, labor for the food which endures which the Son of Man will give you, hear My word and believe in Him who sent Me, it will be like a a fountain of water springing up.

Now earlier I was given a thought. How does one eat a result?
"You shall eat the fruit of your own body, the flesh of your sons and your daughters whom the LORD your God has given you, in the siege and desperate straits in which your enemy shall distress you." (Deu 28:53 NKJV)
"Therefore they shall eat the fruit of their own way, And be filled to the full with their own fancies." (Pro 1:31 NKJV)
"Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit." (Pro 18:21 NKJV)
"Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, For they shall eat the fruit of their doings." (Isa 3:10 NKJV)
-
Ok the reference from Deu 28 turns out the word eat is not metaphorical.
In (Pro 1:31) we are given a hint when it says "filled to the full with their own fancies."
"Therefore they shall eat the result of their own way," So it is a matter of comparing "their own way" with "their own fancies".
OK took a look at the Hebrew for (Pro 1:31) : ויאכלו מפרי דרכם וממעצתיהם ישבעו
This word (וממעצתיהם) means : and counsel, plan, principle, device (biblehub.com/hebrew/4156.htm)
So "their own fancies" is a way of saying "their own plans".
So comparing "their own way" with "their own plans" is very similar.
This last word (ישבעו) means : be sated, satisfied, surfeited ; figuratively means "be filled" (biblehub.com/hebrew/7646.htm)
The word that comes to mind to replace the word 'Eat' is 'Experience'. Lets see what that does.
-
"Therefore they shall experience the result of their own way, And be filled to the full with their own plans." (Pro 1:31)
"Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will experience its result." (Pro 18:21)
"Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, For they shall experience the result of their doings." (Isa 3:10)
"For they experience the bread of wickedness, And drink the wine of violence." (Pro 4:17)
- Ok lets give it a try.
"But He said to them, “I have food to experience of which you do not know." (Jhn 4:32)
"This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may experience of it and not die." (Jhn 6:50)
"The Jews therefore quarreled among themselves, saying, “How can this Man give us His flesh to experience?” (Jhn 6:52)
"Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you experience the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you." (Jhn 6:53)
-
Thank you Lord that makes a lot more sense.
