hi! just wanted to ask you about that tag wiki edits you approved: please check that they're not just copy/pasted from Wikipedia

Q: Can we do anything against tag wikis copy-pasted from Wikipedia?

GillesI've seen quite a few tag wikis, and even tag wiki excerpts, that were copy-pasted from the first paragraph or so of the Wikipedia article, or sometimes were a dictionary definition. These violate the Wikipedia license (which requires attribution), and are almost always substandard — Wikipedia is...

I noticed that. My reasoning was as follows: 1) Even if it wasnt terribly good it was better than having nothing. 2) It did attribute it to wikipedia.
@Nifle Yes, the attribution is fine, but the consensus is that the content shouldn't be 1:1 the same as found on Wikipedia – given that the user has almost half of their suggestions rejected, I thought I'd mention. No big deal! :)
But after reading meta.stackoverflow.com/questions/102314/… I agree that it should have been rejected.
Hmm. It never occured to me to check the users edit history.
It can be quite revealing! I don't know if there's a better way to check Editor stats though other than looking at a suggested edit through the Tools.
Well I should at least look at their history if I'm uncertain whether to approve or not. More info is almost always better.
Now that I have you here in private.
I hope you step up in the next election.
You have done a first class job here.
Thank you … ! Do you know if there are any elections coming up?
By the way, I've seen you're always the first to delete old bad questions, do you have any good way of finding those? I always wanted to do that too, but couldn't really look for old closed stuff.

Wasn't it a month or two after SO last time? That's why I'm mention it.
I think I wasn't even around the last time they were holding elections :)
Or, at least, not actively
Finding crap is easy. Sometimes I search for closed:1 answers:0 and browse through them. Sometimes I find a tag I dont like and sometimes I just use google.
This for examle should turn upp som dirt google.com/search?q=site:superuser.com+www.amazon.com
@Nifle Ah, interesting!
I shall use that method.
Have to go and tell my kid a bed time story. See you around.
Alright, have a good one! @Nifle
