@0x00004 Yeah; the "how to make games", you can ask google, but if you look for something specific, asking here is a good start :)

Just don't ask how to make MMORPG.

hehe yeah :P

user92578
I have all the answers for that

are there many answers to the question "how to make MMORPG"? :P
User genaray asks plenty of questions about specific aspects of such a game and it's fine :)

user92578
Very true

I really like the Unity workflow... but its a pitty that unityEvents arent able to return values :c

@genaray You can use your own delegates for that purpose, or pass in a result object / callback. Any specific cases we can help you find a good solution for?

Looks like I'll have more time to do... not work?
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@Vaillancourt Oof. Technical disruptions?

@DMGregory Slowdown in sales due to the COVID-19.

7:26 PM
Ahh. :(

7:39 PM
So we're under a slowdown in dev too. Half schedule for now.

we're full speed ahead; i think the crisis is boosting our sales

Our ship date hasn't moved yet. And the company delayed a bunch of titles last year, so I expect they'll be reluctant to do it a second year in a row.

@DMGregory Thats a good idea, thanks ^^ Well... currently trying to figure out a good Unity UI management... should be decoupled, easy to extend, and with a possibility to generate UI at runtime ( Server controlled popups etc. )...

Maybe you can chip off one particular piece of that UI and we can look at ways to attack it.

Yeah, "non-human" entertainment does not appear to be affected :P
What do you do when you should stay home and everything is closed: sit and play a game ;)

7:50 PM
Yeah, but if you've been laid off or aren't getting hours because of everything, you don't have money to spend on games either. :/

3 hours later…
10:30 PM
@DMGregory Maybe you'll still "find some money" to buy your kids a game :P Dealing with keeping kids busy at home for some prolonged period of time is something...

Good point.
I just know a lot of folks who are worried about rent and food right now. Hard to argue they should spend on games in that situation...

10:52 PM
@DMGregory Yeah. It's not a super fun situation, globally.
