@Almo Just to make sure, by this comment I meant that you can shoot yourself in the foot easily with POO, but I did not mention that it does not have to be that way. I just did not want to start a flame war over there :P
Er, it's not that. It's that that is how the language works
"Object Oriented" are both modifiers to Programming, in french the order of those is reversed so it's "Programming Object Oriented"
Except with french words
(also I'm sure there's a correct word to use that is not modifiers but I can't be bothered to look it up... it's adjective isn't it? googles Yes it is (I do like when I say I'm not going to look something up and then it pops up in my head)
Yeah, french is one of those languages with an official college that decides "This is how french works now" every so often
Also, then you'd know that it isn't "they chose an acronym" they just made an acronym out of the correct way to say it in french. There was no choice process in there =p
@KevinvanderVelden same reason we have Attorney(s) General: it inherits the French ordering, and the pure English ordering of the term would be General Attorney(s).
I've been trying to get proper collision detection with SAT in 3D. I started of with this post: How many and which axes to use for 3D OBB collision with SAT.
I've been trying to get the right axis to test, which I thought would be correct, but they are still giving me false positives. All actual...
@TheMaskedRebel Well... i have a problem... there some differences between unity ui and android studio layout editor... basically the unity ui sucks ( tbh )... i just wanna do the following... a chat bar, where the username & message fills the whole bar. The message size and length orientates itself at the username length and size... if the username or message are too long they should use ellipses or how ever its called... here a picture
Although I don't think you should be asking if a body exists in the world or not; that logic should be encapsulated in your objects (if your entity is dead its body is destroyed and vice versa).
@genaray Would you like to join a java server. It is where we discuss the making of my games and play some sometimes. Members also get access to my repo too.
I think we may have had a misunderstanding the other day and you may have thought Charanor was asking you for an invite hence you giving one, though that only clicked into place for me later on
I mean, you're welcome to ask about it, and welcome to share what you've learned in a self-answered Q&A (though I don't know which one you're considering)
I am doing SAT with 3D convex meshes and I am using this tutorial. It shows what axis we need to calculate the collision of an OBB. What axis would you need the calculate the collision of a 3D convex mesh and how would you go about obtaining them.
@TheMaskedRebel Note that the answer on the OBB question already contains the info you need to extend the answer to convex meshes (ie. take the face normals and the cross products of the edges)
@TheMaskedRebel If this is something new you want to ask about, you should ask a new question, rather than editing an old question to describe an unrelated topic.
