@kjetilbhalvorsen I can imagine that this distribution, looking so simple, might be a true distribution for some kind of transformed variable. (and now I have to think of something in the past years that looked too simple to be true, it might have been related to politics).
I found that this "generalized normal distribution" allows for a relatively flat maximum.
