I don't understand this. Isn't the beta limited to zero as its lowest value? They give a negative beta value in their last parentheses.
And generally the beta values seem high, aren't they? I mean shouldn't they be lower for the study's conclusions to have a proper strength?
@CowperKettle: if the betas are regression coefficients, then of course they can be negative. And generally speaking, the larger the (absolute) coefficient, the stronger the relationship. I'm a bit unclear what your question is here.
