Hi, I am looking for the source code of predict() function for manually calculating the predictions from the summary of the glm model. I have looked into the site and found no relevant questions. Anyone having an idea, please let me know. Thanks.
@Prradep: That's not a question for this site, but for Stack Overflow - where it's already been asked & answered: stackoverflow.com/questions/19226816/…
Thanks @Scortchi I have tried it already and didn't work.. Would you be able to advise how to predict the outcomes based on a glm() model using coefficients ?
@Prradep I wouldn't assume anywhere on CV that people are using the same software as you so that you do not need to spell it out. it's always easy just to specify "in R", "in SAS", or whatever, and that way you inform some and don't irritate some others or puzzle yet others.
@Prradep, what do you mean by "predictions"? Logistic regression predicts probabilities; that's what it's supposed to do. It sounds like your issue is that you are confused about LR, not R code. If so, that would be on topic on the site.
@Prradep: That's not so. The answer on logistic regression concerns predicted probabilities, but that on Poisson regression concerns predicted counts. In general the expected value of the response is what you predict.
