Lisa is seen in some episodes quoting this amendment or that sentence from the Bible when Homer is doing something shady, something she picked up from Sunday school

So you might ask whether it's an inconsistency within the character, but AFAICT Lisa is the closest Simpson to Flanders, even more than Marge
