In Rocketman (2019), songwriter Elton says to Reid:
Elton: Why don't you sell my fucking records? Number 11 in Italy.
Reid: The song doesn't work, that's the problem. The record's
coked-out MOR shit.
What does it mean, "coked-out MOR shit"?
In the original movie the snow fell on the day before Christmas but it is not specified how many days it took for the children to build him. Is it assumed he was built within a single day on Christmas day?
I have recently seen Guillermo Del Toro's 3 great films The Devil's Backbone, Pan's Labyrinth and The Shape Of Water. I found a similarity between these films. All these are set in a time of some social breakdown or to be precise, war. All of them revolve around something supernatural with charac...
The Bourne Supremacy background: Bourne assassinated Russian politician Vladimir Neski at Berlin long time ago but he couldn't remember full detail and recently been framed for killing 2 CIA people at Berlin.
When Nicky is sent by Pamela Landy to meet Bourne and Bourne is trying to understand why...
In Dark we've seen Elisabeth as Charlotte's daughter and as the story grows we've seen Charlotte as Elisabeth's daughter
but from different time in the same world. Charlotte has been stolen
from the future where Elizabeth was her mother and she bring her into
the past before the apocalypse and a...
In season four of Big Bang Theory, The 21 Second Excitation, Bernadette dared Amy to tell a dirty story. The story Amy told was not in English (gibberish, I believe). However, I'm curious if what Amy said had some meaning. Does anybody know what that means?
@KnightadmiresChappo have not seen either one, though Doraemon interests me. can't think of any more like those though it depends on what you mean by "anime like", like are you referring to the genre, demographic, ect?
@AnkitSharma or you're not an engineer but instead a rich son-of-a-bitch who spends your entire day watching films in his IMAX theatre in your top floor hotel penthouse
@AnkitSharma what i mean is that if she's going to be Batwoman and not Kate, then even if Kate returns they wont have 2 Batwoman's so i suspect Kate will get axed from the plot
@AnkitSharma neither should matter unless it's related to the role. if they aren't and these were the traits they wanted it would seem more like inclusivity posturing to hide their past exclusivity
@NapoleonWilson well from what i understand the actresses who play Ava and Sara in Legend of Tomorrow are strait yet they have such chemistry on and off script so i would say no
and would be a nice replacement now that Nana, who voices Fate in Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha announced her marriage but it's not to Nanoha's Voice Actress, Yukari
@NapoleonWilson depends on howclose they want to be with the original character depiction. people got pissed when Harley and Ivy was teased and then we got Ivy and fucken Kite-man
But it's also a natural consequence. Identity politics and race/gender/sexuality checklists during casting are getting increasingly more prevalent and publicly scrutinized. The move from visual characeristics to things you actually could simply genuinely act without wearing make-up is just the next step.
When people complain that only an Egyptian can play an Egyptian, you can't tell the others to shut up when they complain that only a lesbian can play a lesbian.
<minor rant> I hate it when a low-hanging-fruit answer hits HNQ. 3 minute's work for 3 days of rapid voting & comments, vs an answer that took me half a day to put together & barely picks up more than a few views. </minor rant>
In Fantastic Mr. Fox, Fox stands in front of a painting with a bunch of badgers standing around (pictured behind him in this still). Is it a parody with badgers of a real painting? Or is it simply stylized to look like a certain era?
So did Hollywood with a 100 million dollar budget have the ability to produce the film that was saw on TV during the moon landing without it being debunked with our current technology?
(I do not think the landing was faked at all - just wondering if it were faked really well would we see it now w...
@Memor-X :) I meant light-hearted kids program, in which there is no chance of explicit contents and topics of episodes aren’t serious. Everyday life is portrayed in those anime
I know it was Jeremy Steig who did it in Shrek 4 and Thriller Night.
I looked on IMDB and it listed Anthony Pike on the clarinet, Anna Noakes and Andrew Findon on the flute and Tom Boyd on the oboe.
Could one of THEM have done the Pied Piper’s flute in Shrek 1?
In one of the last scenes of A Star is Born (2018 version) Ally says the following line:
What did she mean by a "lie"? Is it referring to sending a car for Jack, or the explanation on why she has cancelled the tour?
