Q: Is Satine's Pink Diamond Dress inspired by Glinda's Dress from The Wizard of Oz?

Darth LockeIn Baz Luhrmann's 2001 tragic romantic musical extravaganza, Moulin Rouge, there is one number in particular when Satine (Nichole Kidman) performs and she is wearing a very light pink with silver diamonds and bead-work and feathered-skirted dress, sometimes referred to as the "Pink Diamond" dress...

Q: Is there anything that prevented the use of the time-stone?

EchoxIn Endgame, when they finally get all the stones and a new gauntlet, Iron Man specifically asks Hulk to bring back everyone without changing the past. Iron Man obviously wanted to keep his last five years with his wife and daughter but appart from that, is there anything in-universe that would h...

This is probably the least shallow question about Endgame so far.

Q: Name of the movie

AhmarI also asked this on reddit but so far got no response: https://www.reddit.com/r/movies/comments/cyi1xx/i_dont_remember_the_name_of_the_movie/ But anyways I remember this scene from a movie where 3 guy friends go to a bar to hookup and then meet this mysterious girl who doesn't really speak but ...

@M.A.R. Now that I think about it, my line of reasoning doesn't seem to make much sense. Or maybe it does. This philosophical stuff is really weird. A better analogy would be trying to use a really big power generator to bring back together a demolished building

This a really good commentary on the superhero movies of the last decade.
Probably what @Ankit tried to clumsily convey
"soudn good"
This guy is a couple of years late, to say the least.
Is that the most critical thing you can come up with? It's like he wanted to say something but words got stuck in his throat because of being wary of Twitter trolls.
Which is kinda sad but doesn't make me favor his opinion piece any higher.
This guy, on the other hand, seems to be aiming for those, with their provocative ad hominem attacks (but isn't that all common too? When a movie ends up sucking, critics are usually "Oh but we knew that'd happen, look at this idiot's other movies), but publicity I guess.
There might be some meat to their review somewhere in the middle, but close to the end, you'd have to wonder, if they didn't watch this movie on a very bad day for them, that whether anything is not "phony philosophy" or full of gaps to them if it takes a dark turn. And I say that before having watched the movie obviously, admittedly a bit hyped.
The title might be the only sentence that could end up ringing true to my ears, despite there being vaguer and vaguer lines between "being a prime example of [shitty thing]" and "social commentary on [shitty thing]" recently.
I do wonder if they really know the character Joker, or how the reaction to The Dark Knight was. He's the character we do love, but it doesn't mean we want him to win and kill some (more) people in vain. Every 'brutal' aspect of the movie they criticize is really close to how I'd imagine The Dark Knight's joker's backstory to be.
They could pull the "but the movie needs to be standalone" card, but then if you're not approaching this from most of the audience's angle, and trying to excuse it, you're being deliberately misleading.

Q: Why did UPN (a broadcast network) seem to function more like a first-run syndication network rather than an established one, like the WB?

Rob JacksonBoth ended transitioning from first run to the networks they became. Fox and the WB were already well known from the beginning, whereas UPN was more independent, and no one really knew much about them until later on. Why?

Q: If it were to have a rating, in America, would "La Haine" have been R or NC-17?

Rob JacksonThe content in the movie seems to be NC-17 somewhat. Very disturbing movie I must say. In America the movie was unrated.

@M.A.R. ahhh but my post is universally correct no matter the time. and as i posted it (for me) on 02/09 it was asking for the future which, because of the mechanics of my post....
