Q: Has Scarlett Johansson ever sang good (in universe)?

YasskierIn the "Lost in Translation" we can see Charlotte (Scarlet) goofing with Bob (Murray) in the karaoke bar - we can see that she is rather trying to have fun rather than perform well. In "The Other Boleyn Girl", when forced to sing in front of the queen, she sings weakly, with causes other ladies t...

Q: How do the surviving Asgardians get to Earth?

Michael SternIn Thor: Ragnarok, many Asgardians are killed; all surviving members of the race that we know of escape on a space ship. At the start of Avengers: Infinity War we see that they were almost immediately intercepted by Thanos, who slaughters many and blows up their ship. In Avengers: Endgame, it is ...

@Vishwa Heh, these cross-referring peeing contests always crack me up.
Why does it matter who'd win in a fight between Batman and Iron Man?
Who would speak better English? @M.A.R.ಠ_ಠ from Earth or Marshmallow from a planet which is 5000 light years away from us?
Me of course. Marshmallow is a loser who's just pretending.
Hahaha
How are you?
Doing fine, you?
And of course Batman would definitely kick Iron Man's ass. Iron man is kinda a little bit . . . dead.
I am recovering from cold. Other than that, very fine.
10:56
@M.A.R.ಠ_ಠ not in comics
@AnkitSharma OK. Next question. Why would they fight?
Next next question. Why would they fight until one is fatally injured?
@NogShine Cold? The whole world is slowly simmering and you caught a cold?
Next next next question. Why would they position themselves so that one can kick on each other asses?
@M.A.R.ಠ_ಠ Global warming is a myth. ;)
@M.A.R.ಠ_ಠ amalgam comcis I guess
Bonus question. What would Spiderman's JJJ make of that?
> Your version of an answer was to turn into a wind-up drummer monkey.
@NogShine 4000 f***ing degrees outside says no.
Or maybe quote him from Burn After Reading.

Q: Why is "Meryl Streep" always holding oranges in "The Strike"?

ThunderforgeThe Comic String Presents...The Strike is about a screenwriter who attempts to pitch a film about a failed miner's strike, only to discover that American film executives are rewriting it into a bizarre, cliché-filled "Hollywood" movie. The lead actress is played by "Meryl Streep", and her charact...

If you're troubled by an asterisk'ed-out swear-emphasis from half a day ago, please ping an RO or local mod about it. I'm not marking that flag as valid.
o_O
That's noble, but the point of that chat message eludes me then.
17:12
Not sure what was flagged but intention look suspicious
Anyways need to decide what to watch now
Maybe a YouTube original 🤔
Candyman.
Looks like it's not available here on streaming services I have
Too tired for torrent efforts
Maybe I can complete remaining meta answer first
@AJ Excellent
@AnkitSharma Perhaps my message.
@NapoleonWilson Expletives are used for emphasis. Not every chat message is supposed to have an ulterior motive. That said, if someone was offended by a self-censored expletive that was not directed at anyone, and you wished to have given me a 30-minute suspension that I would have missed anyway, I apologize.
That's that I guess.
17:23
@M.A.R.ಠ_ಠ I...wasn't actually talking about the flagged message. In fact I don't even know which message was flagged, nor do I care in the absence of an actual flag.
@AnkitSharma Don't worry. I'm not trying to win the popularity contest . . . even if I'm winning it :p
@NapoleonWilson Oh, double apologize for misreading your message then
Apology, I guess
Is the second one honest at least? ;-)
Nope. I lied about there being no ulterior motive
Checks campaign funding
That'd be the first one, though.
So, what was your message about?
By the way, I finally got to watch Endgame. I'm glad it can still hit HNQ.
Thinking of an obvious question
17:26
@M.A.R.ಠ_ಠ I wouldn't worry about it.
Uh um, "What does time travel have to do with Mobius strips" Nope, too obviously nerdy. "How did Tony manage to look at the blinding light from Captain Lant . . . Marvel" Nah, too nitpicky
"Does Steve's decision rupture the whole time–space thing and doom everyone" Nope, too dark
Good luck finding a reasonable question that isn't a duplicate.
I guess only finding an unreasonable question that isn't a duplicate is harder.
Only for reasonable people
"omg i love tonys armur" Nope, too off-topic.
Armour de l'amour?
"Won't Hulk be too hungry with just one sandwich?"
Now THAT'S a reasonable question.
17:33
Only if you're the owner of a comic book shop.
@NapoleonWilson Yeah, phase 4, Hulk goes on a Rampage because of hunger and The Rock calms him down.

Q: Recognition for Answers that Save Lives

Southpaw HareWe should have an explicit feature for recognizing/rewarding/glorifying answers that save peoples' lives. The OP of this question over at Great Outdoors commented in the accepted answer several years later stating that the advice given in the answer literally saved their life. Aside from feelin...

Wow, nice.
I mean, not the feature request, but the saving life thing.
Oh, you got me worried for a moment. ;-)
@NapoleonWilson Hey, that'd be betraying years of meta experience for me

I'm looking forward to the Suspiria remake on Amazon Prime. I'm sure it's audiovisually interesting in its own ways and probably also more sexually enticing than the original, but I doubt it could beat the original's enigmatic soundtrack.

Q: Why do movie directors/actors frequently boast about how some stunts/special effects were done without CGI or stunt doubles?

JonathanReezSome examples of what I'm talking about: Jackie Chan was famous for doing his own tricks without stunt doubles Lord of Rings boasted about doing many of the special effects without CGI In La La Land the actors often mentioned how they're doing the singing and dancing by themselves But why is ...
