Q: How did they achieve the Gunslinger's eye shinning effect in Westworld?

Danilo GuimaraesWestworld was released in 1973. Back in time the movie-making resources were so limited. How did they achieve the Gunslinger's eye shinning effect? Is it a kind of contact lens? Is there more information about this (making-of, documentaries, etc.)?

Q: Why doesn't Adrian Toomes give up Spider-Man's identity?

SujitIn the Spider-Man: Homecoming, first post credit scene. Mac Gargon walks towards Adrian Toomes in prison and says it's rumoured that Adrian knows who Spider-Man is, but Adrian denies knowing anything by saying "If I knew who he was, he would already be dead". Why does he not give up his identity?...

Q: Why is "Chopsticks" named so?

ShreeI have seen the movie Chopsticks on Netflix. It has been released on 31st May 2019. How this title is relevant to this movie? I know the characters eat food by using chopsticks. But, why is this movie named so?

06:48
All my Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse already asked

Movie of the day: Cargo
googling
Martin Freeman- ohh I know this guy
@AnkitSharma It's your typical gory zombie movie but with more emotion
And it's refreshing to see Bilbo doing it
Moana is really nice.
@NapoleonWilson Moana and Tangled are the two animated Disney movies I haven't watched yet
@M.A.R.ಠ_ಠ O.o
WHo said I like gory zombie filsm O.o
Only Zombie film I like is Resident Evil 1
@NapoleonWilson agreed
09:34
@AnkitSharma Eh, no one? . . . Oh, that "your" is generic. I don't mean you specifically
I liked Moana because it's's also a refreshing one and not a half dead girl need a non consensual kiss to wake up
@M.A.R.ಠ_ಠ ohh ok, got it
That was a fairy tale
Maybe the non consensual kiss is the reason she wakes up?
@M.A.R.ಠ_ಠ they are good to watch it. Frozen got good graphically and the story is good. Moana is non-traditional Disney film
@M.A.R.ಠ_ಠ to shout #MeToo?
Shout? No, what is this, 20000 B.C.? They tweet.
Snow White, sleeping beauty - non-consensual kiss to wakeup by a prince charming
Little mermaid - so much sacrifices to be a human ( worse race ever),
Princess and frog- Kiss a frog? Is it not legal?
Cinderella- sympathetic girl who need others to help in every step
Belle - Stockholm Syndrome
Very empowering for young girls
Jasmine was better I guess than others and recent ones like Moana, Brave and Tangled are more empowering. Tangled is also good
09:43
And Zootopia.
Basically anything recent.
Judy Hopps is not really a Disney princess
I forgot the point you were trying to make
That disney princess are progressing now, which is good thing
Shrug I'm not gonna marry one
I can marry Aladdin or Flynn Rider. Rest are bleh
09:49
Did you watch the Will Smith remake?
Not yet I liked that half shirtless animated version more if I compare live-action film based on trailer
And also I am not supporting make every animated shit into live action with sequels
I mean it was fine when happening occasionally but not 3-4 a year is too much
I forgot, what was Aladdin about, anyway? A centuries-old smurf wakes up to help a dork man up and get laid?
WIth a beautiful brown girl with a pet tiger
So this year we got Dumbo, Aladin and soon Lion king. Did I forgot something ?
Oh of course, because all Indians have a tiger as a pet
@AnkitSharma Thanos
Jasmine was Indian O.o
09:54
Though no princess kissing there
@AnkitSharma The way she dresses, well.
@M.A.R.ಠ_ಠ thanos was not a animated Disney film made into live action
@M.A.R.ಠ_ಠ no
Well, no tigers in middle East. Except maybe Egypt
She was Arab
@M.A.R.ಠ_ಠ you know about Dubai?
Oh right, wait.
I think I confused her with someone else
It was "Arabian adventure"
09:57
@AnkitSharma Yes, possibly because the overgrown city is right below us.
Every brown person is not Indian :P
And pet Tiger is Dubai trend I guess
@AnkitSharma I can tell, I'm brown
As I said
2 mins ago, by M.A.R. ಠ_ಠ
I think I confused her with someone else
Also the Arabic pronunciation is definitely not "Jasmine"
10:00
No, not maybe. I know some Arabic
And Persian has "Yasaman"
I don't :D so can't say yes or no
Well I'm always right
Except when I'm wrong
Valid point
But I'm right this time, I know it.
If it was one sentence then I might have gave it a star
10:01
The Olympian Gods just told me "you're right"
@M.A.R.ಠ_ಠ not going to argue
I argue when I know for sure or I have a point to convey
That's, what, 5 percent of the people in arguments
So you're doing it wrong.
You should just disagree
O.o
I watched so much shit this weekend and have nothing to answer or ask :(
Reminded me about Arnab Goswami, who scream so much in debate that even when he is right I want to slap him

Q: Did the ending really happen in Baby Driver?

LucianoI recently rewatched Baby Driver and I just noticed something at the end. Miles receives a postcard from Debora and we see in the last scene he gets released and she's waiting for him with a shiny new Cadillac. Both are wearing 50's style outfits and there's a long rainbow in the perfect blue sk...

Q: Are there any films in which the titular character doesn't appear?

MuzerAre there any films that reference a character in the title of the film, but that character doesn't appear in the film itself? I'm mostly thinking of things like a sequel to a film in which the title character died, so the sequel doesn't contain that character. A few friends and I had this conve...

Q: In the Arrowverse crossover "Invasion!" why did they believe future Barry's message to Rip was about the events in 2016?

Conrad37Basically as the title states, why did everyone (Barry included) believe that the message 2042 Flash sent to Captain Rip Hunter was in reference to war between Earth and The Dominators, and that 2016 Barry Allen couldn't be trusted? It's not like the message specifically mentioned the year 2016, ...

Q: Does Disney no longer produce hand-drawn cartoon films?

CharlesOver the past few years Disney has remade a lot of their hand-drawn films with either live-action or [modern] computer animation. Q: What was the backstory of the doubles in the film "Us"?

sanpacoIn the film Us (2019) the world is attacked by a bunch of clones(?) who all attack their counterparts. Later in the film we see some tunnels that look like an old set of science labs, where the doubles came from. But I must have missed something about this. Who made those tunnels and why was ther...

It is interesting how James Horner's 80s soundtrack work has imbued the characteristically tropical and relaxing steel drum with an inherently urban and suspenseful second facet so seemingly counter to its origins.
But whenever you hear a steel drum now you can't just think of drinking rum at the beach but possibly also of chasing someone over hard concrete and it depends on the additional context and instruments which it is.
And it took me quite some time to realize that this second image of the steel drum seems to come down largely to James Horner scores.

And while it was Commando that reminded me of these musings, YouTube yet again reminds me what a nice work Gorky Park is, musically and in its entirety.
It wasn't until his death that I became a lot more aware of James Horner's work as a whole and for how many interesting things he actually was responsible.
