Q: Movie or TV show with a bomb/explosive behind one eye?

Conrad StaserI remember seeing a movie or TV show where members of an organization, or those working with an unknown hacker-like villain, have explosives or a mini-bomb placed behind one of their eyes. I cant, however, for the life of me remember the title. Specifically, when the bomb goes off, it looks like ...

Q: What is the duration of the power of the heart shaped herb?

Asif IqubalIn Black Panther movie the black panther of Wakanda consumes the heart shaped herb to gain powers. But what is the duration of that power? If a black panther eats the herb once, will it be effective for his whole life? Has there been any female black panther?

6:03 AM
@MovieReel does Wakanda have no better name for that?
or is Vibranium our word and Wakanda called it "vibration adsorbing ore thing"
and Black Panther is "Black Man-Cat" (which would explain Man-Ape's name)

Q: Why does Graves want to find an Obscurial so badly?

Shehnaz AmeerIn fantastic beast and where to find them(2016),Why does Graves want to find an Obscurial so badly?

7:36 AM

Didn't get it.

@NogShine you know about death note?

nope

Then it's tough to get without explanation
In Death Note, Light ( know as kira/killer) used a magical book where eh write of anyone's name he want dead while imagining there face and they will die. You should know there name and face to kill them
But he failed to spell Benedict Cumberbatch's name
2nd and 4th window character is same, light who is kira too

Hahaha
Cucumber. XD

Ohh so bollywood film was remake of a remake

@MovieReel I could answer this, based on the books... but it's basically a theory with evidence

@Mithrandir sound worth it

problem is, then I have to go dig up quotes :P

good luck

9:14 AM
@NogShine @AnkitSharma got the basics right about the magical book death, but what he forgot to mention is that in the rules in how to use it, if you misspell a name 5 times the person who you have face of will become immune to the Death Note
Benedict Cumberbatch know that Light is Kira, Light goes to kill him to keep his identity as Kira a secret, he fails 5 times, now Benedict Cumberbatch can not be killed by Light's Death Note

@Memor-X I know that part too but thought it will be too complicated to mention this much

@AnkitSharma the immunity is important to show why Light would be so fucked

hmmm

9:30 AM
There, wrote the answer. No more than a theory, but I'm convinced it's right.

Looks nice

@AnkitSharma which one?
@Memor-X @AnkitSharma This guy is an immortal then ^

@NogShine lol

Q: Alice growing effect in 1972 "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" - how was it done? It's not green screen

DomariusHow was this scaling effect done? I've linked to the timecode of the moment. It's at 00:27:02 My first assumption would have been green screen, but it's clearly not - she's taking on all the light and shadow from the scene around her. Even modern green screen p...

MasclinsAccording to this answer, in Jesus Christ Superstar (1973), King Herod's song is in ragtime style. Is there any reason or symbolism for choosing such a style for the song?

Q: Is Mirzapur based on a real story?

Nishank MagooIs the TV-series Mirzapur based on a real story? Mirzapur is an actual city in Uttar Pradesh. Also, Wikipedia says this place is famous for carpet business and this was aptly shown in Tripathi-Industries based mostly on carpet. Moreover, the Jaunpur is also a real place in Uttar-Pradesh, India. ...

@NapoleonWilson Moana storm already hit once.

5:08 PM
@AnkitSharma wikipedia says that it is a fictional series

@Mithrandir great
@NogShine proof?
@MovieReel Not worth DV

@AnkitSharma Lack of statements indicitating any kind of real basis?

@NapoleonWilson ofcourse it's fictional based on real area which had that kind of past

Other than Mirzapur existing? (But let's not call the mayor of New York and warn them of the giant hole in the sky, please.)

@AnkitSharma I have some interviews

5:14 PM
@NogShine great, answer it then

5:36 PM
I currently have 3 2 s' in my rep

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You're such a sweet guy!

It seems like you're in the position to manifest the point of the question a little more, since your answer looks like there does indeed seem to be context that suggests the story could be based on a true story apart from the city of Mirzapur existing in reality.
I tried to flesh out the question a little, though.

Am I suggesting it's a real story?

No, but you're suggesting there's reason to believe it could be.
Otherwise there wouldn't be a need for the film-makers to even talk about it.

5:46 PM
Some characters were the inspiration
The story is a creation

Well, I know.

Is it not reflecting in the answer?

It is, why you do you think it's not?

Your earlier message confused me.

Don't worry, though, I already edited the question.

There is a similar style of writing in Sanskrit and Telugu literature. It's called Prabandham
The poet takes a small incident as the center piece and add poetic descriptions, dialogues, his imagination and makes it a large work.
If you read the original story, it wouldn't be longer than two pages but poets write a book out of it.

Well, that's a common thing.
There are many good films based on newspaper reports.

Thrillers?

6:45 PM
Yeah really nice answer and I was trying to make similar answer but didn't gpt proper source and got diverted @NogShine

@AnkitSharma Thanks
I googled for writer's interviews. Trying references from Wikipedia didn't help.

Aman Kumari mean a film which has a prison or arrest scene which has a girl/wOMEN BEING arrested or taken to prison.IT may be any language.

@NogShine I know it's difficult to come up with a tag wiki excerpt when the most obvious one is already taken by Wikipedia, but I feel you're still quite skirting the plagiarism line with that Rockstar excerpt.
As a general advice that might help, try not to look at Wikipedia and how best to phrase around it, rather than just trying to come up with how you would describe the tag.

QueenSvetlanaI was watching an animated movie on TV one night (close to midnight), and when it finished a commercial break, but before it returned to the movie, it would air a parental advisory. @MovieReel I think we had that before actually, if only I could scan through 500 GoT questions to check for it.
Though, I might as well have confused it with this one.
