@chaitanya89 Hello
Is there any way to improve the edit on my post without rejecting it?

@AJ Mornin'

@SreeCharan go to suggested edit review bar and pick the option improve

@AnkitSharma What are you talking ? My rep is only 587. It only shows reject. So I rejected and edited my post.

Because you don't have access to suggested edit review
In that case you might have waited others too improve or justs accept edit and improve by submitting another edit

It didn't show improve because AJ and Mattia approved the edit already.

10:09 AM
@AnkitSharma I didn't get what you said
@AnkitSharma Wow, why? It's like my favorite animated movie

@M.A.R. He said you said good movie names finally.

I don't get that guy. One moment he's going all "oh, screw critics. Just enjoy the effing movie" and the next "finally you mention some good movie names"?
I'm watching Transcendence.
Why should AI turn against us?
It's logical that it work with us
The film started out well
Such great cast!
It's getting creepy fast though
Like, really fast

@M.A.R. Is that the Johnny Depp film? I've heard that's terrible.

@DrRDizzle It started out good, but terrible climax and ending

@M.A.R. you mentioned lots of weird upcoming film before that msg and this two really seems much promising
Wow @M.A.R. and @DrRDizzle finally came on same time.

10:21 AM
Yeah, Johnny Depp, Morgan Freeman, Rebecca Hall, that Bane's pawn from The Dark Knight Rises
What a cast, dang

@M.A.R. Because I think they messed it a bit, they mixed up so many story in single film which should have done gradually in some TV show or film series.

@AnkitSharma You could say the same about The Dark Knight

@M.A.R. hahahahah, screw critics but screw stupid films too
@M.A.R. That was sequel to batman begins and it did amazing character development

@AnkitSharma So did this one

@M.A.R. No, it didn't I barely know this robin who came back from life

10:24 AM
I don't get your point

This film was made for people who know this character already and if not that it will look weird

Well, I didn't know him
The first time I watched it, I hardly knew there was such a thing as Nightwing

@M.A.R. My point is I can't connect to the character from this film. I don't care who this guy is and why he is wearing red mask and I don't bother if he die again

Well, that's just not my impression

My issue is that film is made for comic book fans and not general public

Q: Why collecting money requires death certificates ?

Anoop KishanIn Whole Nine Yards (2000), Why collecting money requires death certificates ? Cynthia: The only way anyone can get the money was if Jimmy and Janni and I all signed for it together. If you didn't have all three signatures, you'd need two signatures and a death certificate.

I can't recommend it to anyone who don't know who is Jason Todd

@AnkitSharma I haven't read many Batman comics
Not even now
Comics aren't just an Iranian thing to do

I know most of Batmna stuff but I still feel that film is incomplete
I don't know why it's over hyped

Because it was awesome, that's why :)
No point arguing it over

I will prefer filsm like Batman: Bad Blood, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm and Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker way more then it

10:29 AM
Has everyone here seen the Dunkirk trailer?

@M.A.R. I have points, way many

@AnkitSharma You're not giving me any more reasons, you're just saying you liked those movies

@M.A.R. I have seen it but I never really like Nolan's trailers and hsi filsm are plain awesome, so I am in

What kind of trailers do you like?

@M.A.R. now I am sure you are @DrRDizzle's sock puppet :P

10:31 AM
@AnkitSharma My impression is @DrRDizzle is a man of reason.

@M.A.R. I am more of anti-trailer because we get 10+ trailer for each film this days . But I liked Deadpool trailers, they made me interested but still didn't told me whole story

Trailer shouldn't spoil the whole story. O.O

@M.A.R. no dizzle is a critical person who hate everything even himself :P

A good trailer would spark interest without revealing too much of the details
@AnkitSharma I don't hate everything. I like things that are really good
AND IT CERTAINLY WOULDN'T BE DECEPTIVE LIKE THOSE MICHAEL BAY TRAILERS ARGH

@M.A.R. that is my point but nolan trailer show nothing at all which si anotehr issue but I don't care because his films are awesome and I can go for them even without any research
@M.A.R. Can we ignore that guy who made cool looking dumb films for toddlers

10:34 AM
@AnkitSharma Well, it did show a "watcher beware -- you're gonna get your mind blown"
@AnkitSharma Does he have actually any good movies?
And well, FWIW, the films have grossed over seven billion
Or six. I forgot

@M.A.R. For example Zack Snyder's film trailer look amazing but he say almost all the story in trailer or trailer of most of MCU films like Age of ultron or civil war where I had zero excitement while watching the film because I have seen all cool fights in 100s of trailers and TV spots they shown me
@M.A.R. I hate him and I don't care
@M.A.R. that's why humanity is destined to doom

@AnkitSharma Well, it seems you've spoiled the movies for yourself
Can "Does Michael Bay have critically acclaimed movies?" be an on-topic question? heh

@M.A.R. answer will be did you lost your mind to even think that way

@AnkitSharma Think what way?

@M.A.R. Your impression is correct

10:42 AM
@M.A.R. Then you should see Baby Driver and Atomic Blond trailers. I found them very good without revealing many details

@M.A.R. My point is why they need 10s of trailer, Noaln don't make that much trailer and he always succeed with his work

and recently Kingsman: The golden circle

@AnkitSharma Not always.

@M.A.R. using words like critically acclaimed with Michael Bay's name

@AnkitSharma That's prejudice
@AnkitSharma Well, I'm not aware of the details. Maybe someone didn't have anything better to do?

10:44 AM
@DrRDizzle I am taking about this days

Maybe some countries ban certain features in trailers?
The world is diverse and crazy
Anything other than the main movie, and you probably get a jillion sociopolitical issues to deal with

@AnkitSharma So am I. Interstellar only works like 60% of the time, and The Dark Knight Rises is something of a mess (albeit not as messy as some people claim).

Causes you're not aware of can make completely necessary things look absurd
Not that I'm implying creating lots of trailers is necessary, mind you

@M.A.R. I am taking about US, there trailer format are Teaser trailer/2/3, trailer 1/2/3, comic con trailer, super bowl trailer, poster trailer, character trailer, TV spot , behind the scene trailer and international trailer

But you never know. That's what I'm saying

10:46 AM
@AnkitSharma You could just... not watch the trailers.

@DrRDizzle Interstellar is a bit loud, but it's nice
Any movie that makes you think about it for the next two days is easily qualified as nice.

@DrRDizzle I was not considering about what you feel about it, I am saying that he is making successful films. Read again

@M.A.R. Like I said, I really liked about 60% of it. All the sci-fi/time dilation/relativity stuff was fascinating, but the climax was nonsense and the Earth stuff didn't work half as well as it needed to.
@AnkitSharma I see.

@M.A.R. not always, watch A Serbian Film which will disturn you for montha nd you will think about how disgusting it is :P

Well, very bad sticks more than very good, but that's besides the point
Now I'll remember the ridiculousness of certain parts of Transcendence in the days that come

10:49 AM
@M.A.R. I don't think so. Suicide Squad and Assassin's Creed are two of the worst films I've seen in years, and I remember a lot more about great films than I do them.

@DrRDizzle short-term, not long-term
Watch one crappy and one great movie right after another
See which one you can only think of and laugh at

@M.A.R. Still true. If I watched Suicide Squad and Raw back to back, I'd think about Raw more than Suicide Squad in the few days afterwards.

@DrRDizzle I take my words back
2
Or maybe you're just not a man :P
Nullifying psychology

@DrRDizzle my point was no of trailer don't really help in making your film succeed and do think interstellar and dark knight rises is awesome

Movies always seem promising when actors talk about 'em

A J
10:53 AM
What are we arguing about?
Mornin' @steelersquirrel. You're up too early.

But Unforgettable is forgettable at best

@M.A.R. hahahaha, I am loving you now

@M.A.R. Well... I like good films more than bad ones. Of course I think about good films more than bad ones.

@AnkitSharma High five

@AJ grab soem popcorn MAR and dizzle having tag fight :P

10:54 AM
@AnkitSharma If the number of trailers didn't make a film more likely to succeed financially, studios wouldn't make tons of trailers. Fact is, the more marketing you put out, the more likely your film is to be a success.

@DrRDizzle I think about good and bad both film equaly, which I don;t think about are forgettable average films

@AJ Hey! I had a horrible nightmare and I woke up alone and afraid. <frightened squirrel> :'(

@DrRDizzle by that logic BvS should have made 2-3 billlon
@steelersquirrel so sorry for that

@DrRDizzle Well, that's because you're not watching a bad movie right now

@AnkitSharma That's a fair point actually. Films like Fuqua's The Magnificent Seven just go in one ear and out the other. There is nothing more forgettable than a perfectly mediocre movie.

10:56 AM
Oh, God. It appears that Dizzle is replacing you, @AnkitSharma ;)

A J
@steelersquirrel aw

@AnkitSharma It's not a guarantee, it just increases the likelihood of a film making a lot of money. Think of it like this - if lots of trailers didn't make it more likely that your film makes more money, why would studios spend the money to make/release those trailers in the first place?/

A J
@steelersquirrel Yep.

@steelersquirrel lol

@steelersquirrel How so?

10:57 AM
:P
@DrRDizzle Somebody else to argue with ;)

@DrRDizzle At the end of day quality matter for me, nothing else
@steelersquirrel lest bring @NapoleonWilson in to mix and enjoy the party

Suicide Squad was frigging AWESOME, btw!
3

@AnkitSharma Well yeah, of course. But no one knows how good a film is going to be until it's out, and the more people know about a film, the more likely they are to go see it because they're aware of it. Actual quality has almost no impact on box office.
@steelersquirrel It's awful.
Everyone who starred that message deserves to be banned.

@AnkitSharma Yeah...because he totally loves it when you guys start arguing ;)

Grump.

10:59 AM
@DrRDizzle I pic my film with my past experience with the actor/director involved as trailer can lie

11:01 AM
@DrRDizzle I don't get all of the hate for that movie. I'm not a super hero movie person at all, but I thought that movie was cool with an AWESOME soundtrack!

@AnkitSharma I care more about director than I do actor. Actors can often surprise you with a great performance or underwhelm with a bad one - directors rarely suddenly become much better/worse.
@steelersquirrel It did have a good soundtrack, but it wasn't a particularly original one, and the film itself - the characters, the plot, and the more technical details like editing and pacing - were all atrocious. Like I said, I think it's one of the worst films I've ever seen.

@DrRDizzle Oh, wow! You're ranking it as one of the worst EVER?

@steelersquirrel Yup. I don't ever, ever want to see it again.
It's just so poorly made on every possible level that I found virtually nothing to enjoy about it.

You're forcing me to pull out the delivery room experience for when you're girlfriend is having a baby...

"The labor process was objectively bad. The pacing was all wrong, and everyone was late with their cues. The characters were one-dimensional, and plus I wanted a boy and got a girl. It just didn't seem to be the labor it was trying to be."
Hehehe!

Actually, the comparison between Suicide Squad and giving birth seems apt. Both are painful, mind-numbing, kind of disgusting and seems to last forever.

11:10 AM
Hahaha!

A J
@DrRDizzle lol

@DrRDizzle agreed
@steelersquirrel Because you have to hate it to join the cool-train

@AnkitSharma Well, I'm not in the mood for horror
He was desperately looking to make some critically acclaimed movies, I heard
So apparently it worked. The sequel to Ouija is 2016.

eww

@DForck42 ?

@M.A.R. ouija
haven't seen it, but it looks bad

Well, the sequel is much more praised than the original
Something you rarely see
I used to watch and read horror a while ago
Reading horror-y things is much much more fun, trust me
Good horror movies that don't overdo it are Paranormal activity, and hmm, nothing else
The ones that overdo it but are good are VCR, The Conjuring, Sinister
Can't remember any other ones
Except some old classics
But well, old classics are stereotypical now
You'd have already mocked their concurrent themes over and over in these neo-horror sitcoms

6:43 PM
Oh, Gheez. Paranormal activity jumped the shark after the second one ;)

6:54 PM
Is jumping the shark appropriate for movie franchises? I remember Walt saying that jumping the shark was for television and there was some other term used for movies. Something about the last India Jones movie.

@steelersquirrel unsure
do you know where the term came from?

@steelersquirrel Not sure, but yeah, it's mostly used for television
You can't dictate usage though, especially in similar contexts
The etymology is kinda not that important

@steelerfan I think people sometimes use fridge-nuking for when something really jumps the shark, to the point of becoming unwatchable
It's "nuke the fridge"
Apparently from India Jones and the Crystal Skull thing

@steelersquirrel O.o That wasn't a bad movie

@DForck42 I know that "jump the shark" came from an episode of Happy Days where Fonz actually jumped sharks with his motorcycle

@steelersquirrel he was on water skis, but yes

@DForck42 Oh, right! Hahahaha!
@M.A.R. It was alright. Certainly not as good as the original trilogy, but I am the only one on the planet who likes Temple of doom the best, so don't trust my judgment ;)
