I am curious about the portrayal of children and women in the movie Free State of Jones - how accurate it is? No doubt they had an impact, but I am not sure they took part in real battles and fight against the Confederacy armies. Their actions as feeding, hiding and sheltering deserters in swamps...
In the first installment of Underworld, Viktor (one of three vampire elders) and Singe(a lycan scientist/biochemist) are having a conversation regarding Michael Corvin and why the Lycans needed his blood so badly.
Singe: A direct descendant of Alexander Corvinus...Hungarian, a warlord... who...
What do we know about Sherlock's sister? When was she born? The actress is younger than Cumberbatch and Gatiss so if she's supposed to be younger why did Sherlock forget about her? If she's supposed to be older than both boys and an arrestable age that would put Sherlock at an age that he should...
It's a period drama movie about a young guy and a lady that are in love, but were separated when the lady unexpectably became a queen / duchess. (If I'm not wrong the guy and even the girl didn't know she was from the royal family) Although the lady was still in love with him, she tried to ignore...
I remember watching this movie with a great scene that I loved but I cant remember the name. Was a undercover cop story, where the bad guys had a prostitution house, he befriends and dates one of the girls.
The scene: a bad guy comes to pick him up at his apartment, he notices his answering mach...
Referring to the closing scene of Sherlock S04E02 The Lying Decective,
The final scene reveals that the Big Bad gave his daugher’s original note page and various details to another character. Thus, he set up the caper in which he was caught, himself. Why? I don’t get it.

Saw 3D was intended to be the final film in the Saw franchise, with the film being split into two parts. However, Lionsgate Films only allowed the filmmakers to make one more film after Saw VI under-performed at the box office. According to Saw 3D writers Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton, because of the change, "the big reveal of Dr. Gordon was a bit u...
Yeah...but, it's just me blabbering about Underworld stuff. Honestly, I don't know how I am going to get around to asking all of them. One more that I dont have to worry about asking is good with me! Of course...if that question ends up winning you the challenge, I will expect an acknowledgment in your victory speech :P
@steelersquirrel Did you know I, Frankenstein and Underworld crossover was planned
> A cross-over with the film I, Frankenstein or its sequels was planned by Kevin Grevioux, creator of the I, Frankenstein graphic novel. He stated in a pre-release interview that, in an early draft of his screenplay, Beckinsale would have made a post-credit cameo appearance as Selene and that there would have been Underworld Easter eggs, but none of this was used. The box office failure of I, Frankenstein makes any sequels (and so cross-overs) now unlikely.
@AJ same here. Not sure for theater but will watch it for sure
Could Snape's Patronus be a doe because -
Lilly loved James whose Patronus was a stag, therefore hers became a doe. Snape hid so well that he loved Lilly for so long, what if Snape's Patronus was a doe because he loved Harry, and his Patronus was a stag?
In one of the scenes the main characters (several males, at least one female) are stuck either in a car (could be a taxi), truck or smallish area, and while they have CB and able to listen, they can't directly talk (probably due to busted microphone). Instead they use a portable keyboard to play ...
I am giving as much details as I can remember. The movie is quite old (probably 70s-80s). One person (might have been a factory manager) was extremly proud of the automation of the production.
I cannot remember what was produced and I don't think it was important anyway. I only remember the how....
@AnkitSharma Did you see the quote that I found from the actor that played Finn on the whole homosexual thing that we were arguing with Dizzle about? ;)
@DrRDizzle So, you said that Oscar Isaac confirmed that Poe and Finn's relationship was romantic...well, I guess that John Boyega (the actor who played Finn) denied it...
After the release of ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ in 2015, many were quick to ship John Boyega’s Finn with Oscar Isaac’s Poe Dameron, but this imagined romance was later denied by Boyega who told Shortlist: “It’s so not true. Oscar [Isaac] wishes it was though, it’s all in his head. It’s a brotherly love, a bromance, that’s for sure.”
@DrRDizzle It looked cool. I read an artical about why this costume is like that and sound fine . He is a loner and he made his costume out of scarp, he don't have star labs like arrowverse's flash. And also a good way to differentiate him from TV's flash
@steelersquirrel Yeah I did but read it before during my different search
I'm searching a movie that I saw when I was a kid. I vaguely remember the plot, but it was one of those low-budget films from the 90's (Or late 80's, I'm not pretty sure) but the story was something like this: A high-school boy has some object (I think it was a watch, but again, I'm not sure) and...
@AnkitSharma Any scene from Anchorman is never extreme ;)
OMG. I just watched the saddest movie...EVER with Richard Gere called Hachi: A Dog's Tale. It's been a long time since I have cried at a movie. OMG :'(
@AnkitSharma I know. I saw that at the end of the movie. I hadn't even heard of the movie, before! It was so good. I was crying like a baby at the end :'(
@steelersquirrel Oh yeah, it's a nice film indeed.
@AnkitSharma What you call "full representation without fear", others might call overt in-the-face diversionalism. If you want to support homosexuality, why not do it just in-passing and without sheding specific attention to it, like the normal thing it's supposed to be?
You don't need a character to scream it out loud in order to show the audience "hey look, we have a gay one, too".
Besides that, Star Wars is not teen soap opera (Attack of the Clones notwithstanding), so no matter if gay or not, you generally don't want to spend too many minutes on stuff like that.
It's important that homosexual relationships eventually be seen as normal as heterosexual ones. Part of that is going to be having homosexual relationships in films as casually as heterosexual ones are.
@AnkitSharma There is a massive difference between a small CW show containing non-straight characters and the biggest blockbuster of the year containing non-straight characters. It shouldn't be this way, but the outrage many people would have if Poe kissed another man on screen in Star Wars: The Force Awakens would have been huge. So, baby steps.
@DrRDizzle I can give movie example too but most of the time movie don't portray non-straight character good. And no good example coming to my mind except the film which are purely LGBT themed
@DrRDizzle Anyway that is long discussed issue that big films avoid LGBT theme. As Finding the dory film drama you might know
I recently learned about a twist ending, a twist in a plot that happens near the end of a film.
If a twist ending happens near the end of a series of films, is it still called a twist ending?
The plot the led to this question was Harry Potter where we find out Snape is actually a 'good guy. If ...
@DrRDizzle of-course but that doesn't means that they are so casual that they don't even appear at all an depend on fan speculation and actor interview for confirmation.
Early on in Hidden Figures, when Katherine is about to start working with Harrison's team, Mrs. Mitchell warns her that he's a hard guy to work for, and that she's not likely to last long in the position because he goes through computers [professional mathematicians, in a time when electronic com...
It was in a good way! I love watching a movie like that! I hadn't even heard of it and I was totally surprised by the story...and I cried like a baby :)
What is the name of the movie where there are many murders that were picked up and brought on a helicopter to an island where all the murders pretty much kill each other to survive and they make a tv show out of the murders killing each other. what is the name of the movie?
I cant remember the TV show in which there was a boy and a girl(both teenagers probably) trapped in a room in a huge mansion.
The girl is medicated with injections everyday(I think).
They try to escape on a train that comes at certain intervals .
I dont remember much.
Pls help.
I was just watching the newest episode of Criminal Minds (12x09 Profiling 202) and in that episode agent David Rossi receives a bottle of whisky as a birthday present.
I am a whisky aficionado myself and wanted to know what was the brand of whisky that Rossi got.
Here's a screencap of it:

The series is probably american
One scene I can remember is when the protagonist wakes up in a room then a lot of small creatures - probably spiders - starts to attack him, then he panics, and notices that his body starts to disappear. Later on he manages to control this ability and uses it duri...
Odd squad is a live-action kids show on PBS that features cold openings with agents solving mini-cases. To keep the actors young, they rotated out most of the old cast between seasons.

I remember an episode of Craig Ferguson's The late late show in which the guest brought along her own little snake mug.
Ideas which one it was, or who the guest even was?
There's really no much more info i can give you, sorry.
I am searching a movie my girlfriend told me about that she watched as a kid some twenty years ago. She lived in Russia at the time, but it probably was not a Russian movie.
It featured a spiral staircase that was built towards heaven. It was built by a family with a boy who had some illness. He...

I was under the impression that he was not, and the filming of his masturbation is done with "regular" pornography. Since the puppeteer was a troll, he enjoys destroying this normal kid life.
However, I been strongly disagreed on this by friends, saying that there are multiple hints that he is a...
Help me find this movie:
A guy at the beginning of the movie dies on the tracks of a subway.
Then he gets to another life. I think he and everyone else knows that he died and this place where he came to is where we all have to go.
In this new life he receives a job as an executive in a corpora...
@iandotkelly star-wars is actually for the whole series. If it really explicitly references A New Hope, then that's an error in the tag wiki, since it has always been used as an overall franchise tag.
I am still surprised at the positive reaction that I got for my stealer or steeler idea. Just so that everyone knows...if that's used, it's paying homage to the Steelers even though the logo will probably not be used :(
That's weird. Why was the zombie hat the most difficult? I can see that it might have been difficult to guess it, but it was awarded 133 times and the maverick only 17.
Well...the Maverick one was a huge pain in the ass ;)
@Himarm I see that someone else answered your bounty question...I have no clue about that movie or that question. You just have to let me know which answer I should award it to, if any.
I did it before I knew about that maverick hat and I put a bounty on that homosexual star wars thing to get more attention and positive votes on it after I answered it, so, I had another one that I just left alone until the bounty period is over.
