@steelerfan I might have physically held you down, but you didn't really watch the movie. (And I should probably have stopped talking about two messages ago.) ;-)
The plot goes like this, but I can't remember the name:
A guy and his girlfriend or whatever are walking on a street in the city, they get held up by a guy asking for money. The exchange doesn't work out and the boyfriend gets shot, he sees the light to go to heaven but he doesn't go because he ...
In preparation for watching Jason Bourne, I'm binge re-watching all the Bourne films since it's been many years since I've seen the earlier ones in particular.
Something just struck me in doing so. On the off chance it might be a spoiler to someone, I'm hiding it here:
This seems to make i...
Scenes i remember: couple with a son living in a house, they see what appears to be a man outside, and a greenhouse is burnt. Later the family is leaving the house due to the husband´s erratic and semi catatonic state. While packing the man is seen descending the stairs and exiting the house, but...
@NapoleonWilson OMG. I wish that you could see the late game. Patriots/Cardinals. All tied up 8:00 to go. Frigging AWESOME game!! I can't believe that I'm hoping for the Patriots!! You know that Brady is hoping for them to lose...that's why ;)
Then his annoying wife had to post something on Twitter on how she's keeping him in shape during his suspension. Gross.
@Montag451 Thanks for the competing in the challenge and suggesting Gene Wilder as the topic!! :))
@steelerfan Thanks. Just finished watching The Producers. Have a few questions on my mind about it. I still have one or two Wilder movies in the queue.
@NapoleonWilson OMG. Would you hurry up and come over here so that you can watch late games with me? ;) You're missing an awesome game!! I'm so happy that football is back!!
Wow!! Arizona missed the game winning field goal!!! OMFG!! Patriots win...without Brady! Ha!
I remember a show or movie mystery circa 1980s about a girl trying to hide from a woman in a black dress. You couldn't see the woman's face (veil?) and she only appeared when the girl was alone. She always asked the girl "give me my button". The girl passed out the first time. She saw the wom...
An erotic movie where a girl is kidnapped by 3 guys but eventually have sexual relations with them while she is abducted. I think the girl's name was lucrecia in the movie but i don't remember properly.
They were in northern USA/Canada/Alaska doing research and digging up some old Indian sites. Living in wooden cabins they get manipulated and murdered by a deer looking monster.
Sorry for bad explanation, its all I remember.
Can anyone remember what movie this is?
A woman works/owns a bakery and a guy comes in that she likes and she tells him to write his number and put it in the jar. After he leaves she goes to pick it out but gets it muddled with the other numbers. She then sits in the bath and calls all of the numbers to find his. That is all I remember...
Why was the 6 episode HBO documentary on The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst titled as The Jinx. The English meaning of Jinx is to bring bad luck to something.
How does the title relate to the story of a person alleged for murdering people.
Saw a really good film over the weekend, by the way. Hell or High Water, starring Jeff Bridges, Chris Pine and Ben Foster. It's a really measured, really well made western set in the modern day. Recommended.
As Game of Thrones Season 6 had released the last episode The Winds of Winter on June 26, 2016, I'm eagerly waiting for the release of Game of Thrones 7. It is said that GOT 7 will be published in the summer of 2017, is it true? I would like to schedual myself to watch the classics!
It should be noted that the time frame and channel are up for grabs as far as accuracy goes.
Sometime between 92 and 96, Channel 4 in the UK used to have these shorts(?) they would sometimes air after a show finished and before the next one started. So if the previous show finished at 14:50, the...
Proposed Q&A site for all the people that are trying to find Movies, Books, Music, TV shows, Anime, Manga, games and stuff but don't remember the name.
@NapoleonWilson My point is that it really doesn't matter if the actors aren't looking in exactly the right place, because the CGI can be made to align with where they are looking afterwards.
@DrRDizzle Hmm, I don't know you can make it that flexible. There's also thing like scene composition and all kinds of stuff that require the CGI to be at a specific place.
@NapoleonWilson Aye, but the green ball, for example, is just a rough guide for where things will be. As long as the actor in question is looking roughly in that area, everything else can be done in post. Plus, it's very difficult to see when other people are making eye contact or not anyway.
When I am watching movies I seem to never catch actor's direct look into the camera. If you ever being filmed you will know how difficult it is to avoid the camera pointed at you and I can only imagine how many of those cameras are involved during filming.
I could attribute this purely to profe...
In The Dark Knight Rises, Selina leads him to the sewer where Bane is waiting, already stretched and armed with some cool lines. Batman immediately begins to start punching.
Why does he do that, instead of escape? If he were trying to "stop" Bane, this would be a pretty bad time -- he's in hi...
In The Vampire Diaries Season 4, first it was twelve council member who were sacrificed, then we know in flashback a witch tricked to sacrifice twelve humans to break the Sire Bond and even twelve hybrids were need to be sacrificed for Expression magic. But why only twelve and not any other numbe...
There was this movie, during WWII or WWI. There is a guy that was going somewhere, but keeps adopting children in its way. He ends of adopting some 6 7 of them. He also falls in love with some woman. He also adopts a german child. At the end, germans arrest him, but they realize that he actually ...
I'm trying to find out the name of a movie I saw the trailer for but never got a chance to see. In the trailer I think there is a young woman who seems to be an experiment of some sort - she's powerful and deadly. The trailer shows standard plot of her getting out of control, killing people, an...
@NapoleonWilson I was more referring to myself than anything.
And to top it off... I forgot that there are two games tonight. Steelers play the early game at 3:30... so, there's no way that I can make it out of here by then :'(
I am learning Spanish and just finished watching Seasons 1 and 2 of Netflix's Daredevil with Spanish audio and Spanish subtitles. I was struck by how frequently the audio and subtitles diverged - and not just because the audio used longer words and subtitles needed to be shortened or anything. ...
In the final episode of the first series of the brilliant british police drama Luther, there are several points where people are found using phone tracking. Mark North is tracked, for example, by Ian Reed leading to the final confrontation.
Luther's phone is on as he both makes and receives call...
Does he ever brush his teeth during any of the famous syndicate? How many times does James bond go to bed (with and without a "friend" present) and how many of those does he brush his teeth before?
Little girl, about 13, taken by soldiers or officers or some other men (authorities) from convent or orphanage. Nuns do nothing to stop them. Other little girl, smaller, (probably the main caracther) says that was the last time she saw her.
@NapoleonWilson You're seriously trying to decide between an all time Hitchcock classic and an action movie from the director of Leprechaun 3 & 4 that made $884 at the box office?
@Walt Well, I can have one of those running while playing Minecraft, while the other one I have to concentrate on. ;-)
Or put another way, while one of those features a Frank Lloyd Wright inspired building, the other one allows me to construct a Frank Lloyd Wright inspired building myself meanwhile. ;-)
@steelerfan Well, it's asking how many times other people have used that character's trademark phrase. It's the same kind of pointless trivia as the James Bond question (though I haven't downvoted it, actually).
I think SFF is kinder towards trivia questions than M&TV.
@Randal'Thor Ain't that the truth! This is why I was really skeptical about the Doctor Who question that I asked. I fear that it would have been ill-received over here.
@NapoleonWilson Yeah, I told you earlier that I forgot that there were 2 games and that Pittsburgh is playing the early game! God Dammit, Napoleon...do you listen to anything that I say? ;)
And to top it off... I forgot that there are two games tonight. Steelers play the early game at 3:30... so, there's no way that I can make it out of here by then :'(
