@steelerfan But TBH, you don't have to upload clips in ID. I think an IMDb link and a synopsis would suffice. And you can always just tell the OP where the clip is, if you must. They're not mandatory, and I even recall at least one OP who complained about the answer containing a clip because it slowed down their computer! :S

@Walt I see your point. I just always thought a clip or picture helped to illustrate (for lack of better word) the answer/question better. I would love to be able to do cool things on my computer. I am not a tech savvy person whatsoever. I get mocked constantly my my niece and nephew :)
Of course, nothing would give me more pleasure than to Photoshop a picture of Buffy the Vampire slayer with Pittsburgh Steelers fan gear on :)

@steelerfan Not always, though. (And sometimes it might even be detrimental if overused or only tangentially related.) But sure, often it can also further understanding.
But maybe you could as well workaround by using an image that someone already uploaded to SE in another answer and simply link to that in your question.

@NapoleonWilson Well, especially when the question asks about a specific scene. There was an ID question a few weeks ago that described a specific scene in a movie and I didn't want to post an answer without the clip. Also, my question I want to ask should have a picture of the tombstone in it since that image is what the question revolves around, don't you think?

That being said, I'm not sure if it is a good sign for site activity that we only have 6 Spectre questions yet. It's out for quite some time now and it is one of the few topics the other Movies.SE hasn't yet annexed. But I'm admittedly not sure how many Skyfall questions we had around that time after the release. But Skyfall certainly was during the heydays of the site in contrast to, well, now.

While the site is often subject to periodical activity shifts, there is an IMHO larger trend. It's hard to pin down to hard statsitics, apart from the general (and maybe subjective) impression that the heydays of the site are simply back in the past.
But granted, if anyone is to blame therefor, it'd be the site itself and one could even understand the various detractors from other sites complaining about the Movies.SE they observe now rather than the one they (sh/c/w)ould have observed 2 years ago.

@Catija I just noticed that Stack Overflow has a newer, largely changed, version of the new navigation. And it's friggin' amazing. Highly customizable, while easy by default. And the best thing is, you won't believe it, I can click on the logo and get the...wait for it...friggin' good old homepage by default, with a clean URL! Only downside is that the switch from Meta+SO to SO-only might point to a much more belated rollout to any other sites (if at all ;-().

@Catija I went to buy Fallout 4 this morning, but my CC number changed recently so I had to update payment info. Wanted to do PayPal, but the first attempt stalled and the second wouldn't let me combo the sale with my Steam Wallet balance, nor would it let me do it after entering my new credit card info. Seemed like first purchases had to be done in full on the payment method for some dumb reason.
So I decided to just pay full price as my gift cards would see use in the winter sale next month, but I'd made so many transaction attempts over a short span that Steam decided I needed to wait "a while" before I could try again.
Ended up buying the game through Green Man Gaming as they had sent me a 20% off code the night before, so I got it for $48 w/o tax. Went to enter the product key to register it, aaaaaaand it told me I have to wait a few hours to try again due to several purchase attempts over a short time span....

@Catija Did you see that they have "Cake Wars" on Food Network now? I had no idea. They ran a marathon of them yesterday. I Was so excited. I hate baked goods, but I love watching baking shows, especially the cake decorating ones.
