Q: Fort Boyard - why using a solved game?

oguretsIn early seasons during the Time Hunt stage they played a game of 20 sticks - a participant played with Maître de jeu and has always been the one to make a first move. I found out they played a variation of Nim game, which has a pretty simple mathematical solution! Which means that first mover c...

Q: What is the reasoning for casting two actors to play young and old Hugh Crain?

sanpacoIn The Haunting of Hill House (2018) Netflix series, the character of Hugh Crain, the father of the family, is played by two different actors - one plays the father in the 80s and the other plays the father in present day. I can understand why they would have adult actors and child actors to pla...

Q: Was the movie The Warriors (1979) based on a book?

MawgA friend claims that his father said that the movie was based on a book. Can anyone substantiate that?

7:27 AM
> The Warriors is a 1979 American action thriller film directed by Walter Hill and based on Sol Yurick's 1965 novel of the same name.
Seems to be trivia.

Q: (Spoilers) Does black order could disappear when Thanos snaps fingers?

Kamil Jędryczek(Spoilers!) Of course, all members of the black order are dead when Thanos snaps his fingers. But could be possible that if they were still alive they also randomly disappear? If so - why they are helping him? When Thanos snaps his fingers he could also be randomly chosen to die, but he has inf...

@MovieReel edit conflict.
@MovieReel Isn't this POB and off-topic because it asks for comic book explanation?

8:29 AM
@NogShine I'd think so.

@NogShine The former, yes. The latter, not so much.

@NapoleonWilson Oh.. I remember you editing out a part which was asking from Novels. That's the reason I asked.

It...depends on the question, as always.
Working its way steadily towards a friggin' Infinity Snap meme. :'(

8:46 AM
@NogShine I was hesitating with the tag because we obviously don't want to know if that's really possible. To the extent the movie shows it's definitely not. I'd concentrate more on the question if the mentioned theory is based on a real theory. This might help to make the question look less...stupid.
I'm afraid people might jump on it under the premise that the question thinks it's really possible, while the question on what theories the film is based on is actually a really good question.

@NapoleonWilson I agree. Should I rollback?

I...don't really know.
Maybe my fears are without base, we'll see what happens.

something like like we have :-P

We might actually have already.

Not yet.

@Mithrandir It's not trivia IMO. Certainly it's DV worthy since basic research would have revealed the answer but trivia....no not really.

@Paulie_D It seems "basic" enough to me that it looks like trivia to me, but... whatever. I can't even VTC here; I don't have a warg in this fight. Worst that can happen for me is a declined flag ;)

Q: Why is John Malkovich in Deepwater Horizon omitting words?

user654123In Deepwater Horizon, John Malkovich says phrases like: You nervous as cats. or We a big company, Mike, BP. or So they the big picture. They the little picture, like you and the malfunction' shitters. But you see, in point of fact, they all kind of interconnected. or Kalu...

Q: How relevant Is the Central Divide in the El Royale

Gray RobertsI hugely enjoyed Bad Times At The El Royale and I understand the mise en scène lends heavily to the divide between Nevada and California, and there are state-wide rules which are different as per which side of the hotel you are sitting. After the scene is set, and during some characters' introduc...

Q: How did Elsa ransack the rooms and provide a credible story in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade?

KnightIndy says at the castle, "... (Elsa) Ransacked her own room and I fell for it." From this we're supposed to accept that Elsa ransacked the rooms (including her own) to try and find the Grail Diary. Q: About cooper travel

Q: How was the Movie Vaiana translated into the European English version?

SeraphinaWe already know that Moana is called Vaiana in all the European countries. Q: Is it even possible to be entirely in control of your own dream?

user64662The dreamers or the "architects" are supposed to keep control of their own dream at all times. However, as we can see with Cobb, the subconscious can easily take a mind of its own. Everyone has a subconscious-desires or people that are strongly connected in their mind whether they like it or no...

gerritThe film 10000 km (Wikipedia, IMDB, Mubi) is about a couple with a long distance relationship between Barcelona and Los Angeles.
