12:00 AM
@steelerfan Um, I don't know, maybe the lack of wanting to do it?
@NapoleonWilson The one with Nicholas Cage? I thought that movie was really good :)
@steelerfan Me too, quite scary actually, and very dismal atmosphere and ending.
@NapoleonWilson Yeah, it was freaky. Did you just watch it or something?
@steelerfan Yes, but I had seen it before a few times anyway.
@NapoleonWilson Um, sure, good enough reason ;)
12:11 AM
@steelerfan No, it's not and I know that, I'm sorry.
@NapoleonWilson OMG! Why are you apologizing to me, silly bean?
@steelerfan I don't know, I have to apologize to someone maybe? I also feel bad for being so stuck carreer-wise.
@NapoleonWilson Well, you don't have to apologize to me. I feel for you, I wish that I could help you, I just don't know what to tell you :(
@steelerfan I'll get on, don't worry. You already do help, it's the small things that brighten our life. ;-)
@NapoleonWilson Awwww, you always say the coolest things :)
I gotta say that James bond reference you made the other day was like......I don't know.........completely f***ing brilliant and awesome. WOW!! God, that was good!
12:29 AM
Wow, that this moves you so much. But great to hear.
Um, yeah, it definitely moved me! ;)
12:41 AM
Oh God. From Dusk Till dawn is on. That might take a front seat to Wrath of Khan ;)
The Selma Hayek scene was another favorite in my house ;)
Let's see......Elizabeth Hurley in Bedazzled was another one. Too many to remember ;)
Q: Asian movie where a girl commit suicide jumping off the window (art cinema)

Gerardo Cruzhope someone can help me, I remember not much but I will tell everything I can recall. It was obviously Asian, I seen it on a cultural public channel (which means it's art cinema) 5 years ago, I can tell by the quallity of the video that it was filmed between 2002 to 2010 Basically I remember pre...

12:51 AM
@steelerfan You know where Liz Hurley was really hot? Her early role in Passenger 57. ;-)
@NapoleonWilson Wut? She's in that?
OMG! I never realized that was her! I guess it's been a while since I have seen it!
Aww, damn British accent! <swoon>
(No offense to you Americans, but British is friggin' British!)
Yeah, my husband's 3 girlfriends: Kate Beckinsale, Selma Hayek and Liz Hurley. I just couldn't compete with the accents.........among other things ;)
I agree. American girls suck. There is nothing cool about us whatsoever ;)
1:01 AM
@steelerfan Yet he still chose you, how cool's that!
@steelerfan Oh c'mon, that' simply not true! ;-)
@NapoleonWilson Haha! I know, he dumped all of them just for me! I was so honored!! Haha! ;)
@NapoleonWilson I'm just messing with you, silly :)
@steelerfan I know.
I'm not a huge Clooney fan, but I frigging LOVE him in this movie!!
Q: How could Sherlock find the kids in the Reichenbach Fall using the foot prints?

CaioHe analysed the traces that were left in the kids shoes and used them to realize which places the kids went to LATER. How could that work?

Uhm, it's getting to be dusk and my father in law is still gone. I'm going up to find him! Don't stay up too late @NapoleonWilson :)
1:16 AM
> It's only an island if you look at it from the water.
@steelerfan Oh, you're going out into the wilderness now to search for him? Take care of yourself!
@NapoleonWilson Nice Jaws quote!
@NapoleonWilson Yeah, before it gets too dark! He has my dog, though. No protection! Arghhh!
Oh my, if I didn't know you're a total wilderness badass, I'd be really worried now.
Haha! I wouldn't consider myself a wilderness badass, I just know my way around here ;)
Well, just don't pull a DiCaprio, please!
Haha! No grizzlies up here! Ok, gotta go before it gets too dark.
1:23 AM
Hmm, just ate a baby banana.
@steelerfan Good luck! Tell me tomorrow if you survived (all three of you, of course).

Q: How strong are Jessica and Luke?

cdeIn Jessica Jones, and the upcoming Luke Cage spin off, how strong are they, objectively? Jessica can obviously be hurt by a gun shot, while Luke can take a power saw to the gut, so they both have different powers, but how big of a difference is it? Is Jessica Cap level strong or stronger? Is Luke...

Q: Movie with a spirit house / doll house

Q: In S2E10 "Over", why was Walter While acting so strangely with the tequila during his remission party?

IxrecFor the most part the motivations behind Walter's many bad choices and irrational actions make sense to me, with the one big exception of the "tequilla scene" in season 2. Giving Walter Jr one cup of alcohol on a special occasion I could understand, but it quickly gets weird after Walter pours a ...

Oh, yeah! My boyfriend is up for an Oscar, too! I forgot! Woot!

5:28 PM
@steelerfan What're you doin' then?
@NapoleonWilson Working :(
@steelerfan So you could at least chat with us, no?
@NapoleonWilson I am going to be in the E.R. after 3 pm, so, probably not. I have to work triage down there today :'(
@steelerfan Oh, I see. :'(
@NapoleonWilson I am in here until 3pm, though!!! Please, hold your excitement ;)
5:40 PM
@steelerfan You know I can't! \o/
I NEVER work Sundays, but I am working a double today. Today of all days!! Arghhh!!
I'm such a slacker, too. I never watched Wrath of Khan. After I finally located my father in law, I came home and watched Troy instead and fell asleep ;)
Well, I did some personal bureaucracy today at least.
@steelerfan Where was he? Did you find him cornered by a mountain lion?
@NapoleonWilson He was like 5 miles up another side road walking around with my dog. He is fully capable of taking care of himself up there, I just get overly concerned all of the time with my loved ones. I have to know where they're at and if they're safe. I never used to be like that, but I am a complete freak about it now. I drive everyone crazy ;)
@NapoleonWilson What? Did you get your work done?
@steelerfan Aww, sounds rather adorable.
@steelerfan Nah, it was just some personal bureaucracy.
@NapoleonWilson I'm glad that you think it's adorable. Everyone else gets annoyed about it. Hehe :)
@NapoleonWilson Oh, God. You're going to make me guess what this is, aren't you? Uhm, did you get your passport?
5:56 PM
@steelerfan Well, I guess it's a question of time and saturation. At some point one might indeed get annoyed a bit. ;-)
@steelerfan Hah, nothing special. I just ordered and archived the millions of letters about stuff like investments, insurances, wages,... that I just tended to throw onto the cupboard for over a year. Yeah, I know, I'm a slacker. :'(
@NapoleonWilson YOU ARE NOT A SLACKER!!! That sounds like me with my taxes!! ;)
Ugh. brb.
6:37 PM
So, now I'm gonna make meself a delicious rice-vegetable-sausage pan, I guess.
@NapoleonWilson Is that like a stir-fry?
6:52 PM
This is so hard....... I really want Stallone to win the Oscar, but I have to stand behind my boyfriend. Decisions, decisions........... ARGH!!!
@steelerfan I have no idea. I just fry some sausage and onions in a pan a little, then throw in a bunch of different vegetables, some water and cook the whole thing with rice. In the end it's less fried than cooked, I guess.
7:08 PM
@NapoleonWilson Haha! Well, you could cook like I normally do and just throw a bunch of stuff into a pan and hope for the best ;)
I actually made a good dinner last night. Veggie pasta and asparagus. I didn't even screw it up!! Woot!!
Meh, I'm rather disorganized most of the time, but it usually ends up quite delicious.
@steelerfan Yummy!
I wish mine always turned out delicious. Fortunately, my father in law cooks all of the time. He is in lent right now, so we get to have fish a lot. Hooray!
My husband always commented how he didn't marry me for my cooking. I always laughed about it because I am a horrible cook. Then my sister explained to me that the joke was on me. Haha! Duh.
7:34 PM
@NapoleonWilson OMFG!!! "I'd do anything for love" by Meatloaf just started playing!!! I haven't heard this song FOREVER!!! OMG!! I love this song!!
7:44 PM
@steelerfan Oh, amazing song indeed! \o/
God, I frigging love this song!!

Q: Was there a reason that Raoul Duke and Dr. Gonzo had so much soap in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas?

Skyl3rIn Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Roaul Duke and his attorney, Dr. Gonzo had 600 Neutrogena transparent soap bars. Hmm, deliciious as expected.
I haven't eaten yet today, so I am frigging starving :( I am jealous.
I have woke up feeling totally nauseated the past 3 days, so I don't eat :(
@steelerfan Oh.
I don't know what the problem is. I'm going to the Dr. later this week. Ugh. :(
8:37 PM
@NapoleonWilson HA HA! Aren't you glad that you have a smartphone now? Thanks for this, now I am even more hungry ;)
@steelerfan Sorry. :'(
@NapoleonWilson You better be!! What the hell is wrong with you? ;)
@steelerfan Well, I made 4 portions. If only there was someone to eat the rest (or at least half of it). ;-)
@NapoleonWilson Are you inviting me over for lunch? I would gladly come!! ;)
8:46 PM
@steelerfan Hopefully nothing serious.
Hmm, morning sickness?...
@NapoleonWilson HA HA!! Uhm, no. I only believe in the immaculate reception. Not immaculate conception ;)
Q: A Sci Fi film from 1950's with a pulsing glowing rock brought back from space and put in a cave

John NicholsonWhen I was a child, born 1952, Mum took us to watch a B movie about a space ship which returned to earth with a glowing crystal rock on board. Somehow that rock was transported to a cave in a forest and men were moved in to destroy it. The rock was about 10 feet glowing crystal pulsing with lig...

I actually googled that thing once after hearing you to get so worked up about it (and joking about the guy who didn't know what it was). ;-)
Q: A movie in which a husband cheating was assaulted in a hotel with the other woman... What's the name?

BrunoThere was a movie in which a married man knew an attractive woman in a train (I guess), and they gone to an discrete hotel to have an occasional sex relationship. Everything was happening, till a criminal enters the room with a weapon. I can't remind the whole details, but... The guy rapes the w...

9:00 PM
Oscar chat going down in here tonight, or will there be a special room for that chatter?
@NapoleonWilson HA HA!! Yeah, the guy that went to the game with us. Yeah, the married guy!! ARGHHHH!!!
@steelerfan Oh wait, the same guy you actually cooked for without knowing he was married?
@NapoleonWilson YES!!! THAT GUY!!!!
@MattD Yes, here, as last year.
Figured, just thought I'd remembered reading something about possibly doing a separate room for it or whatever.
9:03 PM
@steelerfan Um, shouldn't at least your borther in law have known about his marital state? Wasn't that a friend of him and he tried to hook you both up?
@NapoleonWilson No. He didn't try to hook us up. Him and his friend just bought the tickets from him. My brother in law didn't even know that he came up to my house until afterwards, then he told me that he was married. I had absolutely no idea.
@MattD Who do you want to win? Best Actor and best supporting actor?
I'm honestly not sure as I haven't seen too many of the best picture nominees among other things
@steelerfan I see.
I am torn between Tom Hardy and Stallone for supporting actor.
Yeah, the only best picture noms I've seen are Mad Max and The Martian.
9:08 PM
@NapoleonWilson Yeah, kicked to the curb real frigging quick!! Ugh.
Well, I have only seen The Revenant. But, I love Stallone. But, I also love Tom Hardy. Arghhhh!!!! ;)
@MattD I've only seen those and The Revenant.
I fell asleep during The Martian. Hehehe :)
Between those two I'm honestly rather torn as they're both so good, but I'd have to lean The Martian I suppose.
It's just a good sci-fi film in an age where there isn't a whole lot of true sci-fi.
I hope @Catija does her survey again. Maybe this time with "Who do you think will win?" and "Who do you want to win"?
Well, I have to stand by my man. That's all I can say.
9:10 PM
@steelerfan ;-(
<hangs head in shame>
@NapoleonWilson Are you hoping for Stallone for best supporting actor?
@steelerfan I haven't seen Creed yet. Let me check who's nominated.
Oh, seems I've only seen Hardy anyway. So meh. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@NapoleonWilson gasp Are you saying "meh" to my boyfriend?
In contrast to last year, there's no categories where I have a really strong opinion who should (or shouldn't) win. I'll just see what happens.
@steelerfan I have to, he's my natural enemy of course! ;-)
What time do the Oscars start tonight, for the eastern time zone?
9:22 PM
@MattD Wikipedia says 8:30. But usually quite some banter before and after anyway.
@NapoleonWilson Haha! Brilliant response! :)
All I know is that Dicaprio better frigging win. I don't care what Dizzle says! ;)
I will literally throw a fit if he loses. Hehehe :)
@steelerfan I'm not entirely sure. He most probably will win this one. But I still do think he might have deserved it for previosu roles more. I just don't like this flawed authenticity cult. I'm already so damn glad 12 Years a Boy Boyhood didn't win last year.
But sure, the movie was great, and so was Mr. DiCaprio.
@NapoleonWilson Ah, that's when the ceremony is supposed to start. Think I may go help my wife with youth group then. She's been tired from stuff the last couple weeks and could use a hand. Plus I score husband points. :P
I am just curious to see what frigging Victoria's Secret model he brings with him ;)
See you all later tonight then.
9:30 PM
OK, now I am getting annoyed that I can't be in here for all of this!!
@NapoleonWilson I think that he should have won for The Aviator. I frigging love that movie.
@steelerfan I only have seen that half-conciously yet, I think. But I know your husband's girlfriend is in it, as Ava Gardner I believe.
@NapoleonWilson OMG. You have to see it! It's really good! Yes, my husband's girlfriend is in it. Why do you think that I have seen it so many times? Hehe :)
9:55 PM
Well, as a Steelers supporter, you have to be hoping for Rooney Mara as well, @NapoleonWilson! Just sayin' ;)
@steelerfan Well, she's certainly very beautiful. ;-) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
From that list I've only seen The Hateful 8, though.
@NapoleonWilson Pfft! Beauty has nothing to do with it! She is descended from Steelers royalty! I honestly only found out that she was nominated from NFL Network ;)
@steelerfan I know, you told me once. I still thought it worth to mention her looks, hehe. ;-)
@NapoleonWilson OMG! I can't escape it with you boys!! Haha :)
The name of my dad's boat is "Rooney" ;)
No, it's not named after her ;)
10:24 PM
Another Steeler Fun Fact: Kevin Costner has a son with Brigitte Rooney, who is Rooney Mara's aunt. All roads lead to Steeler Nation baby!! :)
@steelerfan So Rooney Mara's aunt is called Brigitte Rooney? That alone is slightly amazing.
or the Giants.
@NapoleonWilson Well, "Rooney" is the surname of Art Rooney, Sr. who was the founder of the Steelers. That is where Rooney Mara got her name. Her mother's side founded the Steelers, her father's side founded the Giants.
Fun non-Steeler Fact: Rooney Mara's sister is also named Rooney Mara.
Yeah, Rooney is actually their middle name.
10:28 PM
@Mike Right, you're talking about Kate? I've heard she has a Rooney in there, too.
their names are Kate and Patricia, IIRC
Oh, now that Rooney makes more sense. It's actually more of a surname anyway.
Yep. Hence the name of my dad's boat ;)
I would give anything to be a member of that family. God. How cool to have 2 football families? faints
@steelerfan Well, how cool to have all that money. ;-)
10:32 PM
@NapoleonWilson I don't care about the money. I would just think it would be cool to be related to the founder of the Steelers!! They can have the frigging money! ;)
However, as far as I know, not related to Andy Rooney
@steelerfan Yeah, because you don't have worry about it right now either. ;-P (Just kidding, I know you're not that much a materialist person.)
@Mike HA HA! Not that I know of.
Or Mickey Rooney.
well obviously, as that's not his real name
10:34 PM
Thank God for that ;)
@NapoleonWilson Are you kidding me right now? I just had to pay my frigging taxes!! ;)
I am out of here!! You kids have fun without me :'(
@steelerfan Um, the taxes for the 4 bedroom villa in the Northwestern paradise, the huge estate, the 4 cars,... ;-P
@steelerfan Oh god, don't leave, I was just messing with you. ;-) :'(
@NapoleonWilson I have to go down to the ER, silly bean ;)
10:59 PM
As requested.
If there's something I'm missing that you really want to vote on, let me know.
That's film (you want to win & think will win), animated feature, best actor, actress, supporting actor/actress... and a place to input which films you've seen.
@Catija Thank you, looking forward to filling it out.

Q: Oscar 2016 Topic Challenge II: The Academy Awards and their workings

Napoleon WilsonThe 88th Annual Academy Awards ("Oscars") have just been held. Like last year this might be a chance to discuss the workings of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the intricacies of choosing the year's best films and film-makers. So due to popular demand we're starting a new week...
