Q: Toad for MySQL pauses exactly 2 seconds after executing statement

AckmanxEnvironment: Toad for MySQL 6.3 and MySQL Server 5.6 on Windows 7 Whenever I perform any query, the Editor in Toad pauses for 2 seconds. This happens every time. Example: show tables; (Duration 0:00:00.044) Cursor disappears for 2 seconds so I can't execute any other query until it comes back....

Only Quest software can sort that in a support. ticket. VtC

Ayway he's been here for years, just isn't very active.
@JackDouglas I'm friends with an Oracle ACE. Might ping him & invite him here
Thing is, there aren't really enough decent Oracle questions on here on a day-to-day basis. It's mostly SQL Server and MySQL

@Phil we get a few questions a day but perhaps not so many decent ones. Hopefully that volume will increase and we'll gradually get better known in the Oracle world—one thing we can do is keep a special eye on suitable Oracle questions on SO that should really be over here

@JackDouglas Maybe I'm a bit rough, but I would've expected from him to redirect his apologize directly to BF, but maybe it's just a cultural difference. When I made mistaken, I say "please excuse me, Jack, I was wrong". Anyway, don't wanna be a PITA myself, as you are a gentleman :-). I'll be quieter now, as Easter walks around.
Happy Easter gentlemen, if you're celebrating it.
