@Philᵀᴹ I'm in two minds about it. The metamodel for a database is not all that complicated but folks tend to screw data models up on a regular basis. I think a lot of people just don't have the cognitive faculties to visualise a model properly.
I've seen a lot of systems built where the DW model tracks the structure of a primary data source (usually a policy administration system) pretty closely. One might think that building a platform-agnostic model shouldn't be hard, but I think it takes a bit of experience and wisdom to know what you're doing with that sort of model.
@Philᵀᴹ I presume they must have some sort of persistent logging mechanism. Relying on volatile storage - no matter how much redundancy - seems like playing with fire.
see meanwhile if you are not getting MySQL solution then you can get an idea from Sql server version.
It is very easy to understand.

It is a response to a MySQL question answered using SQL Server syntax.
The community here has historically tolerated answers for a different database system from that given in the question, but my impression is that the quality bar for such answers is higher than normal.
Brazil openly hiring a raging genocidal fascist, it's kind of like the warm climates have shit politics, and the cold climates have less shitty politics but from water problems.
