Hi folks. It's been a while since I was in here. I hope everyone is doing well, and coping with things.
I wanted to ask whether it's possible to scroll in the sqlite3 command line shell, or whatever it's called. It's possible in psql, for example.

This was asked on SO in 2012.

Q: sqlite3 command-line - How to show less/more output

JW.I am using the sqlite3 command-line programme on Ubuntu. I'd like to see its output paginated on the screen. So for example, I'd start it like so : # sqlite3 SQLite version 3.6.22 Enter ".help" for instructions Enter SQL statements terminated with a ";" sqlite> _ Then, at the sqlite pro...

@AndriyM Could it have possibly been an a.* which was deleted by the editor?

@Johnakahot2use Would it work though? I don't think you can have a tablealias.* inside COUNT() in T-SQL.

@AndriyM You are right. Doesn't work.

@MichaelGreen No, but I enjoy the occasional Americas Cup. Was in Auckland in 2003 just overlooking the (new) wharf from Ponsonby.
Was interesting to be there at that time.
Drinking Peter Lehmann's - Clancy's Red 1998 and eating Fish 'n Chips out of the bag.

Q: Cannot connect to server with SSMS 18

jradich1234I'm having an issue all of a sudden with SSMS 18. Today, the authentication method is grayed out and I cannot get it to connect to a server. I've rebooted, reinstalled 18.6, uninstalled and installed 18.5 and run it as an Administrator. I have no idea what the issue could be and cannot seem t...

is there a canonical answer for this, cause if not we need one
to be clear - I do not think this should be VTC'd unless we've got a bona fide well-answered dupe. but this question is a perennial annoyance that needs a good canonical response

There are too many possible reasons many of which are networking and not database related
The disabled auth method is new to me though
As well as the 'not set' labels
Answer is probably reinstall latest ssms this install is corrupted smh

New to me too. The way John put it, I thought it was a well-known issue.
