@jcolebrand Did you know that you can actually retain control characters (like CR or LF) when copying data from an output grid to clipboard? I myself learnt about that no more than a year ago but I suspect the feature has been there for much longer. There's a setting in Options that controls that
Tools - Options - Query Results - SQL Server - Results to Grid - Retain CR/LF on copy or save.
The checkbox caption reads "Retain CR/LF" but it affects other (possibly all) control characters too. I think they chose to put it like that because in this day and age developers are not taken as seriously as before and can't be expected to know what a "control character" is.

Is it worth putting something up on our meta to address this for the network? Or should we just wait to inherit policy from meta SO proper?
Wondering if I should reject or pass the current spate of edits that change only that terminology

Q: Sensitive Words policy

Peter VandivierRecently in the Suggested Edits Review Queue, there was a spate of edits changing only master/slave verbiage to primary/secondary. In the absence of other improvements to a post, should we accept or reject these (and similar) edits? Related on meta.se
