@HDE226868 I think I have another Idea, but I'm not really sure about the math behind it; so, I don't know how to get to a Hard Science answer with it. The evidence for the cosmological principle is that without it the universe would have never expanded past a singularity, but there is also the theory that it was not perfect resulting in primordial black holes and the heterogeneousness of the universe.
@HDE226868 If you made made your universe more heterogeneousness, you might get stars sooner because things cool sooner with more stuff collapsing into black holes early on.
