Good morning. I was hoping someone could help me with this question that has been put on hold.Human souls are energy sources that gods feed upon in the aether realm. This pushes them to interfere with the mortal realm and gain followers through worship. Messiahs, prophets, and all manner of holy men are used to establish religions and various belief systems in order to garner human beings to their deities. When that human dies, the god that has "dibs" on that soul claims it in the afterlife to feed off of it. For this reason, they compete amongst each other, trying to gain as many followers
I wanted to know if this can be made to fit the site rules.

@Incognito It is pretty opinion based, and more appropriate for a chat discussion as is I think. What makes it opinion based is that it is asking for back story/plot points that are pretty subjective, and it would be difficult for someone to come up with an answer that is objectively better than another answer, since it is all based on what you think is the best answer.
I'm not sure what could be done to make it better, as the main site isn't built for brainstorming, BUT if you want to get input from people in chat it could work
For instance, it could be that what the gods feed off of is lived experiences. The more experiences that the individual has, the more energy they give the god. So a child that was miscarried is going to be almost entirely void of energy, meaning it might actually take more energy to gather them up than would be gotten from them.
A zero is a zero, it doesn't matter if there were ten of them, they still aren't going to add up to something.

It could also be an ancient agreement that they can't break, with the penalty being that all the other gods would be forced to team up and wipe the offender out.
It could be taste, where uncured souls are unpalatable.
It could be a physical barrier keeping them out of that side of limbo
It could be that infants actually have some kind of built in defense that people lose after they live for a while.
And this is what makes the question not great for WB; there are too many possible answers, because there are no limits on what can be done, or rules about how things work.
It's still too high of a level concept. Once you figure a few things out, and start to put rules into place, it'll be easier to get meaningful answers.
It would be a bit like going over to stack overflow and asking how to write a loop, without specifying language, or what the loop is suppose to do, or if it's going to be a While Loop, or a Do Until, for a For loop, or a For Each loop...

A: Sandbox for Proposed Questions

IncognitoHow can I set up an independent class in society that are created to fill a specific function? I wanted to ask a follow up question to this one here: Why do witches have non-magical bodyguards? These non-magic bodyguards are part of a guardian system in society that are meant to protect witches...

Well I'm hyped for Endgame. To quote three of my friends:

Obviously no spoilers, but DDDAAAAMMMMNNNN. 9/10
Yeah. 9.999999999999/10
Obviously no spoilers, but DDDAAAAMMMMNNNN. 10/10

Good to hear
I'm hoping to get time to go soon. Eldest wants to go, but I haven't let the younger two see Infinity War yet... Kinda thinking that it might be a bit too much for them.
Wife hasn't seen Infinity War ether... But I'm pretty sure she'd be annoyed if I went without her... So I'll probably have to go behind her back like most of the others.
