Humans have no equivalent gestation mechanisms. At all points in the life of this humanoid species, all individuals must maintain egg teeth to escape the egg.

We know this because the species still exists.

This pattern holds with all characteristics. Heat resistance, egg teeth, egg laying, everything...

This raises an interesting question. Human babies are not precocious at all. Dragon babies are fairly to highly precocious.
