@DaaaahWhoosh well, you can see deleted posts in the sandbox (and/or their edit history), but not deleted comments. And you were here when strangers came here rebuking him for all the flags paging everyone with chat powers.
@JDługosz It only matters what his parent site on his chat account is, AFAIK. If you're suspended on Site X, and Site X is your parent site, you can't use chat, but if you're suspended on Site Y, you still can. Switching makes things complicated.
(It's worth nothing that here, "complicated" = "gives me a headache".)
@DaaaahWhoosh Only if you're doing something productive with those extra hours. The extra hours I get to spend mindlessly watching junk youtube isn't worth the sleep deprivation.
@sphennings I'd like to think if I could go from nine to eight hours, I'd have my hour of before-bed reading back again. Which would be time well-spent
and the experiment I'm trying now is to see if I can avoid sleep deprivation. If I train myself that less sleep is normal, maybe it will be
That's only because you are still thinking "I didn't sleep as much tonight as I used to! This is unfair! Now I feel bad!". Stop thinking about your experiment and everything will be fine.
the programmer in me wants to think they're just being efficient, saying 'on one side' implies that you will be talking about 'the other side' so maybe it's just unnecessary to specify
maybe "they were trapped between the Henders predators on one side and had no other place to go"
@DaaaahWhoosh good idea, but the context was that the preditor was coming down a tunnel and their other direction was blocked. Thrapped between the preditor and the previously explained obstacle is probably what he was starting to say. This has a Markov-chain humor, like a literary analog of the impossible shapes — locally the words are in a familiar and sensible order, but the patches don’t match up.
A short chapter at the end of the first book was pretty mixed up — a plane flying at 1200 feet over the ocean dropped a bomb that fell 5000 feet before the chute opened? And the speeds don't agree; it's like it was two different flight plans mixed together.
@dot_Sp0T Well, they dont remove it, The back seat just doesn't have them. There is one very short scene with Trinity and Morpheus from behind, and trinity has her headrest, Morpheus doesn't, but you can see the holes where it would be mounted.
It just would have made the fight a lot harder if they were reaching around it the whole time
I remember on episodes of Jake and Amir where they were driving, they'd use a van. That way, they'd pretend to be driving but would actually be in the middle seats, so they'd have a driver and cameraman in the front seats
I thought it was a clever low-budget trick for driving scenes, but once you notice it it's pretty obvious
@DaaaahWhoosh It's was cool for a few minutes, but I got carried away by the similar videos on the right side of youtube and it's getting weirder with every video
@DaaaahWhoosh Hearing relaxed people/animals should indicate that there seems to be no imminent danger, so yeah, it should help with sleeping. Maybe it helps you overcome your problems with sleeping less. That would be cool.
