Ok, the topping was ritz crackers... but otherwise. Maybe next time I'll make cheese-its from scratch and use them for the topping.
Well, by the time we ate it, it was more "warm". 😂 Bennett would only eat the crackers, so we put him to bed and then ate.

To Austria. Which almost got us into a bit of trouble this morning. I had forgotten to check his passport as it was just a two years old. But expired with his 12th birthday >.<
Luckily this is “Schengen area”, so technically he doesn’t need it.
Double-checking revealed that it will be sort of accepted anyway, if not too old.

Before the refugee waves, there wouldn’t have been any kind of border controls. (Which is essentially what the whole Schengen treaties is about.)

I didn't realize it'd changed. I remember not needing a passport when crossing borders in Europe. I'm don't have a French stamp despite being to France because we flew into Amsterdam and then to Berlin and took a train to Munich and Paris.

Yep, controls at the outer border, none between the countries. Controls were re-established temporarily and the time slot extended a few times. Currently until May.
In real life, it does make a difference which way you are traveling atm. Weird, sad, but true.
The border thing is also huge with regards to the Brexit: No deal would also mean border controls between North Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
