When Dropbox's installed you'll have a folder on your home folder

so e.g. C:\Users\Matthew\Dropbox

inside this folder there'll be another called "Public"

Whatever you put in here is accessible through a public URL

What you linked to was a single-use download link for the image

so you can't hotlink it

no, that's my user ID so dropbox knows what user's Public folder it needs to look into

btw - you're room owner, so you can manage pins yourself

to pin, hover message, click on the white arrow and you'll see "pin this message"

to unpin or unstar, hover on message on the pinned list, click on the black arrow and you'll see "unpin this message" or "remove stars"

Be careful, if you use "cancel stars" no one will be able to star that message ever again

You might've seen that in action ;)
