Very, very happy: My first attempt at a genuine Strudel and it’s pretty good, methinks.

We had (vague) plans of traveling to Vienna and staying with friends in the area. Didn’t work out, so I wanted to cook or bake something that would be like a trip on a plate.

And the best neighbor of all gave me a whole basket of windfall apples.
