Assume a celestial globe the size of Earth: how big would the "points" or footprints be which indicate the individual stars?
One can assume a typical naked-eye visible star, e.g. an angular diameter of 2 mas (milli arc seconds).
Any damn star. A 2 milliarcsecond-wide star. Jee-ziss.
Let's see. There are 1000 miles per 15 degrees on Earth, and 3,600 seconds per degree. Alexa, what is I missed something can you say it again what is 1000 / 15 / 3600? 1000 / 15 / 3600 is approximately 0.0185. Alexa, what is 0.185 * 1 mile? 0.185 * 1 mile is 977 feet
No wait, for milliarcseconds, divide by 1,000. So a star would be about 2 feet wide on earth. === See, I can't do arithmetic. And that's probably not even right.
As stated to you multiple times, the title is a summary of the body. The actual question should not be stuffed into the title while the body contains useless and irrelevant details about your math skills.
@Starship where exactly are you getting that from? Can you cite the Stack Exchange help section or Astronomy SE meta post that spells that out? In many SE sites it is strongly encouraged to try hard to state the entire question in the title. I have never heard of a site where that is discouraged. To help allay my concern that you're just making up your own rules as you go, please either link to a statement of some official SE policy, or delete your comment. Simply stating things multiple times doesn't make it right. 2+2=5, again, 2+2=5. Let us be clear, 2+2=5. What part of 2+2=5 don't...
@uhoh Sure I'd be curious where you've seen that the entire question should be stuffed into the title while the body should be filled with random, useless, unrelated, and irrelevant details about the OP's math skills.
@Starship Further, there is simply nothing wrong with adding guidance in the body of the question that helps potential answer authors understand what it is that the OP would like help with. Stating one's math skills in a question that needs a math answer is fine. Stop manufacturing indigence.
@Starship a lot has changed since 2012. Check Law SE for example.
@uhoh Saying "I need help with doing the math for X" might be fine. Asking a question and saying "heres what categories of math I can and can't do" is irrelevant, because by asking a question you're asking someone to tell you something you don't know (Unless you self answer)
@uhoh It's strongly advised to not treat the title as the first line of the question body. The title should summarise and advertise the question, but the question body should be self-contained and not rely on the title in order to make sense. Please see meta.stackexchange.com/a/109403/334566 & meta.stackexchange.com/q/145019/334566 & links therein.
@Starship Aww, calm down you two. Removed reference to arithmetic retardation. It was filler to meet the minimum character requirement for a body. === If the entire question fits in the title, then it belongs in the title. It shouldn't be forced it, however. So there.
@Starship In the meantime, no one has even bothered to calculate the question and the OP. But you have plenty of time to argue about the semiotics of a question.
@uhoh answered this question for the record. And I don't know how I'd calculate the OP (M+I+S+S+ +U+N+D+E+R+S+T+A+N+D+S=???) Also, writing a good question isn't semantics, its literally the point.
@Starship providing an opportunity for the posting of good answers to on-topic questions is the point. It's always the folks who ask few to zero questions that have the most to say about how to write question. This is one of the few Stack Exchange invariants.
@Starship keep up the good work! Every site's community is different, I learn a lot by joining sites outside my comfort zone and learning which questions fly and which don't by trial-and-error. History was hard for me for example.
The answer will vary between some maximum number for the star with the largest angular size to as many orders of magnitude smaller as you like for other stars. Which is why the question as asked is pointless and requires clarification.
@MissUnderstand you have not understood what I'm saying. The stars are not "all the same size", either in absolute terms or in angular size terms. Anyway,, I've answered the question you could have asked.
As it stands, the question is unclear. Please provide your understanding and the research effort you have made instead of just copying the title in the body. With that attitude, nobody is going to take your question seriously. Everyone in the community expects the askers to provide some efforts @MissUnderstands
@ProfRob OK, you win. I put the only detail that exists in the body. What would you suggest I do now? == Either say what, or undo the vote to close. == That goes for all three of you. jokers.
1. I didn't bully you. I am stating the points. It is upto to you to decide if you want to fix your question. 2. Don't accuse someone of downvoting. Voting is anonymous. 3. "They banned you from the other stax for posting vulgar public comments about me" I didn't made any comments about you anywhere else. 4. I would suggest you to check your attitude and how you treat others. I have been polite to you but don't test my patience.
@MissUnderstands Please be nice. This community and other communities you have posted in have done nothing but try to be nice to you (except I do think its possible there is 1 user targetting you with downvotes but that is far outweighed by the many upvoted one gets for good posts) , understand you, and help you. You continue to repay them by being incessantly rude to them, refusing to learn, and insisting that your autism prevents you from not being obnoxious to people (a claim which is clearly false and has been contradicted by multiple autistics on this site alone). Continued...
@MissUnderstands You have been suspended on many many sites over and over again but you don't stop. I did warn you that continuing would likely get you suspended network-wide, and here we are. Continuing will just result in more and longer suspensions. Whether you understand or like the rules or not, you need to follow them. That isn't up for debate. If you want to change the rules, that's what Meta is for. I also don't know what you want from users. They're cowardly if they don't explain their downvotes and bullies if they do. Regardless, by asking a question you asking a favor. Continued...
@MissUnderstands At a minimum, if you ask a favor, you need to the most basic things to allow people to help you. Also, you can't get upset if no one has the time to help you as a favor within an hour of posting your question. Anyways, I suggest, when you get unsuspended, try to follow rules and be nice and when someone is kind enough to tell you your mistake, don't attack them. They're not trying to drive you out of here. Frankly, if everyone acted the way you did I would leave this site immediately and not return. Being rude is actually what would drive someone out.
@MissUnderstands "M+I+S+S+ +U+N+D+E+R+S+T+A+N+D+S=???" was a joke to prove the point that I don't understand how one would add the OP.
