The problem is really easy to solve but I quite wonder how the chain will move I can't imagine how the torque induced by the tension of thread will impact the motion. Can anyone help me with this?
Will it move like a gyroscope facing opposite to the ground? i. e facing upwards?
N. B I have already solved the problem but I am going through hard time about visualization of the motion which is not what is asked in the actual question
I tried it also with a pencil and it seemed to describe a cone in space while moving with a tilt i. e the angle between the thread and pencil seemed unchanged I just tied one end of the pencil with the thread
