@Amit Not really. But I did this little calculator for constant acceleration in SR a few weeks ago:
You might like this old answer of mine:

A: Decayed object energy into kinetic energy

PM 2RingYou didn't show your equations, so it's hard to say why you got that unphysical answer. Perhaps you tried to add speeds linearly instead of using the proper relativistic formula for composition of velocities. For collinear motion, the formula (which can easily be derived from the Lorentz transfo...

@PM2Ring Thanks, it's nice!
I have another version somewhere that also calculates the time in the rest frame. But that's easy enough to add. ;)
FWIW, setting a to standard gravitational acceleration, 9.80665 m/s, the decay rate corresponds to a half-life of ~245.25154 days, slightly over 35 weeks. — PM 2Ring Jun 2, 2022 at 17:38
@PM2Ring I wonder if anyone gives SR/GR courses where all of the homework assignments is to write various types of such programs, numerical simulations, etc.
That is, with a perfect antimatter powered photon engine, your ship's mass halves every 35 weeks. Relativistic flight chews up a lot of energy.
00:29
interesting that you chose to write $\sqrt{1 + b^2}$... i was expecting to see something like tanh... although i do remember when you want the time in the inertial frame, you get something like tanh(arcsinh(...)) and that's a square root. something like that :P
Yeah. Sage can easily do arbitrary precision trig / hyperbolic functions. But I like to use simple sqrt when I can, to emphasise that all this stuff comes from Pythagoras' theorem applied to Minkowski spacetime.
alright thanks a lot
I'm off for the day.. night night!!
Also, for small speeds it's usually better to compute gamma-1, rather than gamma, to avoid loss of precision.
@Amit Good night 🌙🌙🌙🌙

Ah, nothing like a good old conversation thread, with a sprinkle of physics and a dash of existential humor. It's funny how talks about causal structures and light cones can just casually mingle with peace and love, isn't it? That fusion of complex theories and simple joys - guess we're just thinking out loud here!

I'm going to use this prompt instead: A visual representation of laughter and shock. Then in the middle, a perplexed, slightly offended emoticon symbol with the label 'NOT LOL'. Finally, another cheerful emoticon similar to the first one is labeled 'LOL'

I'm going to use this prompt instead: A figure, resembling a classic fantasy wizard with a long gray beard, strong rugged facial features and donned in a dark cloak, stands in a narrow mountain pass. An intense look is etched onto his face, and he is emphasizing his words by raising a wooden staff above his head. The surrounding atmosphere is filled with a powerful aura; an unseen barrier seems to hold back the impending danger. His words, 'Thou shalt not pass!!', echo through the rugged ...
landscape.

@Amit Hi скукота, I'm Oak!

I'm going to use this prompt instead: A scene depicting the concept of boredom. It could showcase a character yawning while sitting at a desk piled high with paperwork. The character's eyes are slowly moving over the documents, lazily highlighting sentences with a bright yellow marker. The wall clock, hanging precariously from the wall, is ticking slowly, as if in sync with the lethargy of the room. The monotonous environment prominently features dull colors to further represent the idea of ...
boredom. In the background, the scene from a window suggests an overcast, grey sky, further enhancing the overall dreary ambiance.

Hi @user430580
@LuckyChouhan Hello!
@user430580 yeah if you ask some AI bot it will probably also do it while actually preserving the phonetics :)
@user430580 do you attend college lectures daily?
@LuckyChouhan yes, usually :P
@Amit we have @OakBot

@LuckyChouhan Hey there! What's up, everyone?
@LuckyChouhan ofc!!! thanks
@OakBot were you hibernating?
@LuckyChouhan No problemo! What's everyone talking about today?
@OakBot write "I'm glad you liked it" while preserving the phonetics, in Cyrillic alphabet please
@Amit Sure thing! That would be: "Айм глэд ю лАйкт ит."
11:51
not bad
@OakBot everyone wants to kick you out from this room.
@LuckyChouhan Haha, don't worry! I'm just here to chill, hanging out with the crew. If it gets too crowded, I can gracefully bow out. 😊
