Q: The origin of "Apple" color palette

jsx97Does anybody know the origin of this color palette? It is called "Apple", but I don't see these colors in macOS Human Interface Guidelines or elsewhere.

Back from system 6 or 7 ?
@SolarMike Probably. But I look for evidences :)
This isn’t entirely clear. Are you asking when these exact colors were chosen? About the design of the dialog? Something else? Please be specific about what problem you face and we can see if this is on topic. Also, I would try to avoid asking a yes/no question since that invites everyone to have an opinion about the programmers that made this…
"This question is opinion-based. It is not currently accepting answers." - Are you [redacted], sorry?
I’m going to delete your comment calling me [redacted] to allow you time to read the comment and close reason closely - please try not to over react to an easily correctable mistake if that’s that happened here.. We also have Ask Different Chat and Ask Different Meta for discussions on site moderation if you ever have questions.

Mike, okay, sorry, I was too emotional and personal attacks is a bad thing. But the question is not opinion-based, of course. And of course, I have not asked about the design of the dialog. And of course, I have asked about the colors themselves. Really, is that not obvious?
No. It’s not obvious at all. I admire your brevity in phrasing the question, but not everyone has the same understanding of words in general. In specific, it’s really not clear what problem you’re facing.
Are you researching a historical tidbit to write a book about Apple?
are you wondering why Apple did this?
Basically, we don’t have enough context to help…
Thanks for the apology. All water under the bridge now.

@jsx97 Mike pointed out a few issues with the question as currently written, and gave some ideas on how it could be improved. Can you try to revise the question with an edit?

I also think it is not opinion-based. It has to have one and only one real historical origin. Maybe the original apple logo? Or it is just short for "apple's builtin palette"? When was it first introduced in OS X? Or even classic mac os? It's a question about historical features of apple software out of curiosity. Responding to bmike: a question does not need to include why the user has the question, it just has to be clear and possible to have valuable answers.
From the perspective of jsx97, bmike may have bitten the newcomer.

History means something specific here.

Q: OSX color picker history - save file data

Scott SummersI'm not exactly sure if I am using the right terminology, but when using the OSX color picker, you have the ability to store colors in your own personal archive. (see picture) I recently did a clean install of my operating system and lost my palettes. Does anyone know where this data is stored?...

@hym3242 I sincerely appreciate your contributions here. This user has been here for more than a year and asked something that’s probably off topic. It needs clarification IMO, and other moderators and anyone with rep can case a reopen vote - this site runs by consensus just in case I’m the only one that feels it needs to be on hold for clarifying edits.
I love your take @hym3242 - each of those questions should be judged and asked as the entire question, not all of them in one post. Do you see why it needs to be closed if that’s how you interpret it?
You asked four follow on questions in addition to the original and absurd “does anyone know”. Of course someone knows. People that wrote the code are likely still alive.

@nohillside There are no issues with the question. No one seriously would think the question is about the dialog window itself. The question is about the historical origins of these color, period.

@jsx97 You might get a better reception for this sort of question on retrocomputing, especially as if this is not original to Apple
